Nelson Dhilipkumar who dished out a super hit with the super star in the lead(Jailer) has bankrolled this flick showcasing an offbeat execution of a familiar theme.
Set around a Beggar who is smart, shrewd and quickwitted the screenplay then moves on to the evil designs of the heirs of a past screen star (Radharavi!).
The maker creates a connectivity between the Beggar and those people the action set inside the confines of a palatial mansion wherein the Will is to be read in their presence by an opportunistic lawyer who also decides a cut from that family cake!
Chaos and confusion sets in as it is found out that the great actor had an Illegitimate son who is also willed a share of the fortunes of the deceased actor!
Murders follow as the proceedings finally draw to a dramatic halt!
On the Beggar ‘ s side, his wife was mopped down by a family member of the late actor and on realizing it, he seeks to square it off!
The film passes off as an horror thriller most of the time but too many unknown faces representing very many characters cause irritation at places.
Kavin deserves a pat on his back for his bravery for having accepted to enact such a challenging character that too in the earlier part of his career.
Reddin Kingsley is loud as ever!
A few questions surface – given his capabilities, why did not the protagonist resort to some good source of earning rather than sticking to the act of begging which he was forced to while being a child?
Secondly, having lost his wife in an accident, should he conceal the fact that he is his father to that little boy who is made to think he is an orphan!
Radharavi ‘s belated entry and revelations do create a flutter!
A film that doesn’t follow the usual, routine style of storytelling.
Kudos to Sivabalan Muthukumar for that!
