Mohanlal and Mammootty unites after two decades!! Malayalam cinema’s grand venture begins filming in Sri Lanka!!

The grand venture that is set to rewrite the history of Malayalam cinema has officially begun with Mohanlal lighting the ceremonial lamp. Directed by Mahesh Narayanan, this multi-starrer film brings Mammootty and Mohanlal together on screen after more than two decades. Along with these legends, the star-studded cast includes Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, and Nayanthara, among others, making it one of the most anticipated projects in Malayalam cinema.

Mohanlal had reached Sri Lanka earlier, and with Mammootty and Kunchacko Boban joining recently, the much-awaited film has commenced its production. The ceremonial switch-on was done by co-producers Subhash George Manuel, while the first clap was given by C.R. Salim. Along with Mohanlal, Rajesh Krishna, Salim Sharjah, Anura Mathai, and Tejas Thampi were also present at the lamp-lighting ceremony.

The movie, produced by Anto Joseph with co-producers C.R. Salim and Subhash George Manuel, is penned by Mahesh Narayanan. Rajesh Krishna and C.V. Sarathy are the executive producers. The ensemble cast also features notable actors like Ranji Panicker, Rajiv Menon, Danish Husain, Shaheen Siddique, Sanal Aman, Revathi, Darshana Rajendran, Sereen Shihab, and theater artist-director Prakash Belawadi, known for his work in Madras Cafe and Pathaan. Cinematography is by renowned Bollywood cinematographer Manush Nandan.

The production design is by Joseph Nellickal, makeup by Ranjith Ambady, costumes by Dhanya Balakrishnan, and production controlled by Dixon Poduthas. Linu Antony serves as the chief associate director, while Phantom Praveen is the associate director.

The film will be shot across various locations, including Sri Lanka, London, Abu Dhabi, Azerbaijan, Thailand, Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, Delhi, and Kochi, over a span of 150 days. It will be distributed by ANN Mega Media.
