Kaviperarasu Vairamuthu’s International Seminar on the Works of Poet Vairamuthu Invited by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin
Kaviperarasu Vairamuthu’s poetry is 52 years old. His film songs are 44 years old. He has written 39 books so far. His Sahitya Akademi Award-winning epic Kallikaattu has been translated into 10 Indian languages; it is being translated into 12 more languages. He has received awards from 7 presidents for being the best lyricist of India. So far, 180 people have received doctorate and M.Phil degrees by researching his works. He has also received India’s highest awards, the Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan.
An international seminar on the works of Poet Vairamuthu will be held in Chennai in March next year. University professors and research scholars from all over the world will participate and read articles. The seminar will be held for a full day. Poet Vairamuthu personally invited Chief Minister M.K. Stalin to attend the closing ceremony in the evening.
