The film ‘Mixing Kadhal’ is jointly produced by Pollachi S. Mahalingam, D. Kannan and Ayesha Akmal on behalf of Friends Pictures and Sri Ayyappa Movies. Directed by director N.P. Ismail, the film stars debutant actor Shinde in the lead role. Samyukta Vinya is the female lead. Along with her, Shreya Bhavna, Priyanka, Divya, Ambani Shankar and many others are playing important roles.
The film has cinematography by Sadik Kabir and music by Rajesh Mohan and Koneswaran. A. Karthik has worked as the art director for the editing of the poem. Ismail and Kones have written the songs. Karthik has worked as the public relations officer.
The music and trailer launch of the film ‘Mixing Kadhal’, which will be released in theaters soon, was held on February 14th at Prasad Label, Chennai, on the occasion of Valentine’s Day. Pepsi Chairman R.K. Selvamani, Guild Chairman Jaguar Thangam, Music Director Dina, Producers’ Association Joint Secretary Soundara Pandian, Producers’ Association Executive Committee Member and PRO Association President Vijayamurali, Director Rasheed, Senior Journalist Umathi and many others were present as special guests.
Pepsi Chairman R.K. Selvamani, who released the music video of the film Mixing Kadhal, said, “Director Ismail is a close friend of mine. When he called me, I said that I would definitely come, as I have done a film after a long time. Today is Valentine’s Day, so I said that I would take my wife for dinner, and she has also come from the city for this. So, I said, don’t spoil my love by delaying it with Mixing Kadhal. He also said, I will send you away immediately. But if you come here, the show will not start at 7.30 pm. Such situations sometimes happen, we have to tolerate it. I also endured for Ismail. I saw the songs and trailer of the film, and they were very good. The cinematography, music, and lyrics were all impressive. Ismail has made this film with great difficulty.
In the current era, the film industry is going through a period like the Corona era. Today, the need for cinema is more in demand by the society. Everyone watches all the films, but the producers do not know in which they watch the films. A film generates income in many ways, but the producer does not get it. More than 250 films are released every year. Through this, the film industry does business of about Rs. 3 thousand crores. Through this, the government gets about Rs. 540 crores as GST, Rs. 100 crores as local body tax, and about Rs. 1000 crores through the cinema industry. But there is no proper structure for the cinema industry. Today, if a film is running in theaters, it is not clear exactly in which show it is running. The film that is running in the multiplex is put on a specific screen, we can go and watch it. One day it is running at 11 am, and the next day it is changed to 3 am. There is an environment where it can be screened at any time, however, and at any time. That also happens to such small films. In my time, making a film was a difficult thing, but once the film is made, it will definitely be released. In the current era, making a film is easy, but bringing it to the public is very difficult. In such a situation, film makers should keep two things in mind. They should not make films that go beyond our culture by saying that they are making it like an English film. The reason is that English films have become normal for us now. Through OTT etc., we watch films from any country. Therefore, if we do not try to make it like an English film, people will celebrate it if we realistically portray our culture and our way of life. Not only our people but also the people of the world are eager to see such films. Today, a Tamil film is being watched in Argentina, and we can also watch an Argentine film. Therefore, we need to make films that can tell our stories with a low investment, and we need to properly master the strategy of how to bring those films to the people.
If you make a film keeping these two things in mind, you can definitely succeed.
When you watch the movie Mixing Kadhal, it is clear that Ismail has made it with the idea that it should have everything for the fans. The film has come out well. It is happy that so many media have come to the event of this small film. If so many cameras have come to the event that there is no room to place the cameras, it seems that Ismail is friendly with the media in some way.
