Srinik Productions opens the door to small budget films that are stuck without being released

Srinik Productions becomes a danger to small film producers who are struggling without being released

At least 200 films are released in Tamil cinema every year. Out of these, about 150 films are small budget films. However, in recent years, even if the film is completed, many small budget films are stuck without being released due to various problems. Now, Srinik Productions has become a dawn and started a new initiative to open the door to good films made on small budgets and unable to be released.

Srinik Productions Sathishkumar and Balasubramaniam are both accomplished in the construction industry. In their passion for cinema, they became the co-producer of the film ‘Saamaaniyan’ starring Ramarajan. At the same time, instead of continuing to produce films, they have now embarked on a new endeavor to bring good films that have already been produced and are struggling to be released to the theaters and release them.

Producer Sathishkumar says, “Many good films made with a budget of Rs. 75 lakhs to three crores are struggling to be released due to some reasons including finance. Even producers who make films without any financial problems are struggling to release them and are resorting to activities such as taking out more loans and becoming debtors and selling their properties.

Hundreds of such films in Tamil cinema are stuck in a state of stagnation even when they are ready for release. Through this, we are planning to get good films from their producers and release them in theaters at our own expense and pay the due amount to the producer. Not only the theatrical release, but also the overseas and satellite rights, audio rights, OTT rights of the film We have started this as an attempt to sell all the rights and dubbing rights of other language films ourselves and provide the film producer with a good profit beyond the investment he made.

Although we do not call this a service, we have taken this risk with the aim of ensuring that good films reach the audience, that they do not stall, and that the producer’s money does not go to waste. We have appointed a five-member committee of writers and directors to select good quality films that the fans will like, even though they are small budget films.

We plan to release 24 films in theaters per year, at the rate of two films per month.

Our goal is to continuously bring good films to theaters, gain the trust of the theaters and the trust of the fans, and earn the name of a good publishing company. Currently, there are only one or two companies in Tamil cinema that are dedicated to releasing films. They are inaccessible to small budget films. In that sense, we have started this new company as a company that gives hope to small producers. “We have taken the initiative,” he said.
