The music and preview launch of the film ‘Hum’, produced by ‘First Line’ Umapathy and directed by S. Krishna Vel and starring newcomers Ganesh Gopinath and Aishwarya in the lead roles, was held in Chennai.
The film crew along with director K. Bhagyaraj, lyricist Viveka, directors L. Suresh, Ismail, producers Raja, Ghazali, journalists D. S. R. Subhash, Senthil Vel, ‘Jeeva Today’ Jeeva Sakhapatan, ‘You Do Brutus’ Minor, industrialists Appu Balaji, Kamal Haasan, D. Suresh, co-producers Siddhar Thiruthanikasalam, Gauri Sridhar and many others participated in the event. Director K Bhagyaraj released the music and preview of the film at the event, which was received by the special guests and the film crew.
Speaking at the event, composer Hemanth Srinivasan said, “In this film, the hero and heroine fall in love without meeting each other in the film ‘Kadal Kotta’.. Similarly, the lyricist and I worked together. I composed the music for the song written by lyricist Viveka. The reason for this was that these works were carried out during the Corona period. After composing the music for this song, there was a doubt whether the artists who worked on the film would like it. But when we saw the song on screen now, we all liked it. I hope the fans will like it too.
Before composing this song, the producer showed me photos of the scenes in the film. When it was shown on screen now, it was very wonderful. I would like to thank the director who worked for this and the hero and heroine who acted without showing their faces.
On this stage, screenwriting legend K. I consider it a privilege to receive greetings from Bhagyaraj. ” He said.
Director K. Bhagyaraj said, ” I don’t know how to say hum. Hum has many modulations. This hum can be in every modulation to suit every situation. Such a beautiful title. Heartiest congratulations to all the actors, actresses and technicians who worked on the film.
The producer of the film, Umapathy and my friend Subhash, have many things to say. I will ask them to speak and listen to what they say. You can’t say when someone will come to the cinema. I had a similar experience with Nanjappan, the producer of the film ‘Thural Ninnu Pochu’. It was different. At such moments, I remember what my teacher said. ‘Every person you meet is your teacher. You will have something to learn from him.’ That is why I don’t look at anyone easily. Everyone has something to learn from him.
Director Krishnavel said that he did not work as an assistant to anyone. Well, I thought some people would come on their own.
Cinema has changed. When I asked lyricist Viveka about the director, she said, ‘I am just now meeting him in person.’ Cinema is going very forward.
Umapathy, who is a producer, has a lot of knowledge. If he has produced the film, there must be something special in it. He has moved on to his next stage. The importance he gives to friendship is evident in the fact that he made a friend who was with him in the early days a producer. I wish him to become a director soon, which is his ideal dream.
Speaking on stage here, U Do Brutus Minor, who was angry with him… he also included me in his speech. ”
Speaking, hero Ganesh Gopinath said, ” My mental guru is K. Bhagyaraj sir. I consider it a privilege to be with him on the stage where he is.
As soon as I got the opportunity to act in the film, I went to shoot the very next day. This experience was different. I would like to thank all the actors, actresses and technicians who worked on the film.
Heroine Aishwarya said, “Thank you to the producer and director for giving me the opportunity to act in this film. In a different attempt.. There are strong messages in this film. This film has been made after overcoming many obstacles. Even though I and the hero have acted in this film without showing our faces… We are eagerly waiting for many people to appreciate us after the release of this film. “
Director Krishnavel said, “I have no connection with the film industry. I have not worked as an assistant to any director. No assistant director is my friend. Why did I feel the need to make this film in this situation? So.. Basically I am a survivor.
During the Corona period, a friend of mine told me to make a film with his daughter as the heroine. We wrote a story for that. After writing the story, the producer backed out. At that moment, whose face
[15/06, 19:51] Flowing Fizz: I started writing the story of the film thinking that I could make a film without showing anything.
In the film ‘Mundhanai Mudichu’, the character of Pakiyaraj will not have a name. That is also an inspiration for this film. Arignar Anna’s film ‘Or Raattu’ is also an inspiration. Kalaignar’s films are also an inspiration. Parthiban’s films are also an inspiration. I have tried to make a different film like this.
This will be a film with awareness about women’s safety. About what women should not be afraid of. It may be an adaptation of many films. It may be a copy. Some may even say it is a copy. But the story is new. I guarantee that. I am sure that this film will be talked about,” he said.
Speaking, producer Umapathy said, ”Thank you to all the guests who accepted our invitation and came here.
I started working as a photographer in the journalism field and then worked as a chief editor in many leading media.
In 2004, I wrote a book in English called ‘Grand Master of Politics’. It was released by the then Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. After that, ten years later, I wrote a second book called ‘Pativugal’. It was released by director K. Bhagyaraj.
My friend Krishnavel had produced and completed a film. He said it was a film without a person. After that, he showed the film one day. I don’t know how half an hour passed. It was interesting. No one has ever attempted something like this before. It was new. It was surprising. After that, we discussed it. After that, we started producing the film again. With the help of friends, we completed the work of the film. ” he said.
Producer Ghazali said, ” I have already seen this film. Every minute will be exciting. This film will be talked about a lot after its release. My best wishes for the success of the film. ”
Lyricist Viveka said, ” I am happy. Producer Umapathy has worked in leading news agencies. I went to Cambodia as a special guest at the World Tamil Poets Conference. From that moment on, I started getting to know producer Umapathy closely. He is not only a producer but also has many stories to tell. He will soon become a director. I wish him well for that too.
Some films in world cinema are different. My friend Chandra Mauli had planned to watch all forty of Hitchcock’s films and make a documentary about him. I got the opportunity to watch all forty films with him. He would have done something new in each film. There is a film called ‘Rope’ in it. It has only 11 shots.
I see this film as such a different film. There are 13 characters in this film. 13 voices. 13 bodies have played roles. 13 emotions have played roles. But only their faces are not visible. This is the difference in the film. I think this is the address in the film. The address of this film is that there is no face.
This is a new attempt.
Music composer Hemanth Srinivasan has composed the music for this film wonderfully. My congratulations to him too. My congratulations to the director of the film. I have personally seen how hard producer Umapathy has worked for this film.
During the Corona period, we have completely shifted to the modern world. Today’s technology.. saves our time. We can avoid wasting time. Without technology, we cannot live today.
In this world, we must be criticized or criticized. We cannot live without criticism. As the philosopher Aristotle said, ‘If you do not want to be criticized, then do not say anything.. do not do anything.. do not become anything.’
If you do not say anything.. do not do anything.. do not become anything.. no one will notice you. No one will notice you. Therefore, being criticized is a recognition. You can also see the beauty and knowledge in every criticism.
Producer Umapathy’s work in this film is more than the director’s work. It was a great pleasure to work together on this film. I wish this film a huge success.”
