Thanksgiving ceremony of the ‘DNA’ film crew

Produced by producer Jayanthi Ambedkumar on behalf of Olympia Movies, presented by producer S. Ambedkumar, directed by director Nelson Venkatesan, starring Atharva Murali – Nimisha Sajayan in the lead roles, and released on the 20th through Red Giant Movies, the film ‘DNA’ is on its way to a huge success with the unanimous support of critics and fans.

Following this, the film crew organized a thank-giving ceremony in Chennai to thank the media and fans who made the film a success. The film crew participated in this event.

Speaking at the event, film editor Sabu Joseph said, ”We have worked hard for this moment for the last one and a half years. I have worked as the film editor for all the four films released under the direction of director Nelson Venkatesan. While working on previous films, the director kept telling me to deliver a work that would be commercially successful. His dream has come true with this DNA film. I thank everyone who worked for this. ” He said.

Cinematographer Parthiban said, ” I have been following Director Nelson since his film ‘Oru Naal Koothu’ and got the opportunity to work together during the shooting of his film ‘Fargana’. Then a good understanding and friendship developed between us. After that, he gave me the opportunity for the film ‘DNA’ and I think I have used the opportunity he gave me correctly.

Everyone appreciates me for working on this film. I thank them for this.

I would also like to thank the producer who trusted me and gave me this opportunity even before the release of the first film I worked on, ‘Pechi’.

I hope that the cinematography has been done without distorting the spirit of this film. I thank all the artists who have cooperated with this. ” He said.

Co-writer and writer Atisha said, “This is my twenty-year dream journey. I have been waiting for this moment with great joy. I thank everyone for this.

All the things in this story are true. The experience of working in the field of journalism for the past fifteen years helped me write this story. My guru has said that ‘If there is more truth in fiction… that fiction will succeed’. In that sense, this story is 90 percent true. Only ten percent is fantasy.

Sathur Jayalakshmi played the role of the grandmother in this film. I wrote this character based on a woman I met in my life. The character design of the film will be based on real events such as Egmore Government Children’s Hospital – Gosha Hospital – Auto Shankar’s death certificate. I believe that such facts close to reality are also the reason for the success of the film. Therefore, I request the directors to use writers and experienced journalists.

Director Nelson was the one who found me and invited me to write.

Atharvaa and Nimisha expressed many scenes that I felt close to my heart and wrote on screen with their wonderful performances. I thank them for this too.

From the first scene of this film to the last scene, we would have designed the scenes in such a way that one character helps another character. When this helping attitude becomes commercial..! There a crime occurs.

In today’s environment, helping has become a business. In the past decades, people would ask for a ‘lift’ while traveling in a vehicle. Today, ‘lift’ has become a ‘bike taxi’.

Help should be heartfelt and honest. I am happy that this film, which prioritizes this humanity, has reached the fans in the right way. I express my heartfelt gratitude to the media and fans who supported this. ” He said.

Actor Bose Venkat said, “If a shoot is taking place in Kerala… if there are five caravans there, one of them will be for writers. Writers are respected there to that extent. In that sense, I congratulate Director Nelson for giving a platform to Atisha, who worked as a screenwriter in this film, and for praising her. This is a healthy journey. For me, the writer-dialogue is a separate category. If that category is strong… no film can fail. This is my opinion.

I express my heartfelt gratitude to the producer, director, all the actors, actresses and technicians who worked with me for giving me the opportunity to act in this film. He said.

Director Nelson Venkatesan said, ”In the current context of Tamil cinema, the success of a film is not just about a director directing a good film. The film must be released on the right date. This is not in the hands of the directors. The film must get the right publicity. That too is not in the hands of the directors. The film must create confidence among the distributors. That too is not in the hands of the director. After that, from putting up the poster to advertising the film, the success is determined by the hard work. In that way, if a film is to be successful, many people need to come together. Many people need to cooperate and support. In that way, I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who worked behind the scenes for the success of this film.

I would like to express my first gratitude to the two or three hearts that were the reason for the creation of this film.

I have had the story between Anandhu and Divya since 2009. Anandhu and Divya are different names. But I have met these characters in my life. I have recorded their pain in this. Will marriage happen in their lives? The question that arose in my mind was what prompted me to write the story of this film. Through this, a strong story… when told with a strong feeling, it becomes successful. Even if I tell this after ten years, it will still be successful. I am confident that people will give it the reception and love it deserves.

I dedicate the success of this film to that real Anand and that real Divya.

It was in this film that producer Ambedkumar told my story for the first time in my presence… the same way I would tell it to others. I was amazed by his storytelling ability. At that time, the happiness that my story was liked. He understood.. also arose in my mind. I will never forget that moment.

I would like to express my heartfelt congratulations and gratitude to the technical artists like Suresh Chandra, Santhosh, cinematographer Parthiban, film editor Sabu Joseph, writer Atisha, music composers, background scorer Ghibran, sound mixer Tapas Nayak, associate director, and the actors and actresses like Viji Chandrasekhar, Bose Venkat, director Subramania Siva, director Balaji Sakthivel, Ramesh Thilak, Atharva Murali, and Nimisha Sajayan, who were responsible for the creation of this film.

In today’s environment, if we want to bring people and fans to the theater to watch a film, there is an environment where many parties have to work together. Through this, many good films should come. We are traveling with the goal of creating a healthy cinema environment.

People should also benefit from cinema. The artists who worked on it should also benefit. I request that the criticism and view of a film should be in that way. I would also like to discuss openly how creators and critics can shake hands and take the healthy cinema environment to the next level. I express my heartfelt gratitude to the media and fans who have been supporting me on my film journey,” he said.

Actress Nimisha Sajayan said, “Usually when a film is released, there is anxiety as to whether it will be a hit or not. But the criticism I received after the press screening of this film made me sleep peacefully without any anxiety the moment the film was released.
However, I was happy when director Nelson called me at around two o’clock and said that the film was a success. I would like to thank everyone for this at this moment.

If I am praised for my performance in this film, it is the director’s. I have done what he told me. I always want to be the director’s artist. Thank you for believing in me and giving me the role of Divya.

I learn something from every film. I am learning two things in this film. One is the director. The other is Atharvaa.

This is one of the films that was close to my heart while working on the set. My co-star Atharvaa is very talented. He is dedicated. He did what the director told him perfectly on the set. His cooperation is unforgettable. Without his support, there would be no Divya.

I would like to thank the parents of the child who willingly gave their forty-day-old baby to act in this film. I would also like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the fans and the media who made this film a success.”

Actor Atharvaa Murali said, “I felt very happy when I attended the thanksgiving ceremony for the success of DNA.
It gives me joy. Every day and every second I worked for this film is for this one moment.

During the shooting of this film, I participated every day with the feeling that I was acting in a good film. I didn’t think about how successful this film would be… how well it would be received… who would like it… etc.

When the shooting was completed, I felt that I had acted in a good film. When the press for this film screened the scene… a few minutes after the film was completed, everyone stood up and applauded… I was really moved. All the media people praised it in an encouraging way. It gave us great hope. I experienced the success of this film through the experience of saying ‘word of mouth’.

After the film was released, we went to the cinema hall to see the fans’ reception in person. At that time, an old woman hugged me and kissed me on the cheek and praised the film. She said that the success of this film made me happy. This was a new experience for me. They celebrated the success of this film as their own. I was really happy to see this.

At this moment, I feel like the happiest person in the world.

When Director Nelson met me and told me about the film, he confidently said, ‘I will give you a good film in your film journey.’ He has kept that confidence. For this, I express my gratitude to him at this moment.

I express my heartfelt gratitude to the producers, cinematographers, music directors, background musicians, and the technicians of this film, as well as the actors and actresses.
