‘Address’ is a film produced by Ajay Krishna under Cocktail Cinema. Rajamohan, who directed the films ‘Kumkumappoovum Konchum Puravum’ and ‘Vanavarayan Vallavarayan’, is directing this film. Two heroines, Diya from Kerala and Pooja Zaveri from Gujarat, are making their debut in this film. Thambi Ramaiah, Isakki Bharath, Devadarshini and others are playing important roles. A young leading hero has made a special appearance in an important role.
Krish Gopalakrishnan (Krish.G), who composed music for films including ‘Mookuthi Amman’ and ‘Netrikan’, has composed the music. Krishnakumar-Vasan has handled the cinematography, while Tamilarasan has handled the editing. Snehan, Mohan Rajan and ‘Kana’ Hari have written the songs.
Director Rajamohan says about the film, “In 1956, the provinces were divided based on language. At that time, a few villages were stuck in the middle, neither joining Tamil Nadu nor Kerala. Without joining any state, those people were ignored by the two state governments and lived a difficult life until 2016, without even getting their basic rights, such as ration cards, voter cards or Aadhar cards.
There is a politics behind the fact that the two state governments did not take any action to give the people there voting rights and use them for their own gain. We have beautifully expressed the beauty of a town that faced such problems and the pain of those people in a song.”
