Director Velu Prabhakaran’s photo release and memorial event
The photo release and memorial event for the recently deceased film director Velu Prabhakaran was held at Saligramam Prasad Label yesterday.
Actor Sathyaraj, director Kathir, singer Anthony Dasan, Blue Shirt Maran, director Akaran, father Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam General Secretary Kovai Ramakrishnan, Dravidar Liberation Kazhagam General Secretary Viduthi Rasendran, Dravidar Kazhagam Treasurer V. Kumaresan, and producer Chittibabu participated in the event and delivered memorial speeches.
Actor Sathyaraj, while speaking at the unveiling of Director Velu Prabhakaran’s film, said that a book given to him by Velu Prabhakaran had made him think, had made him a rational person, and that life was very happy because he had become a rational person. He also said that when Velu Prabhakaran called him to console him on the phone while he was in the hospital, he said, “I have brought Periyar’s ideas to these people as much as I can since I was born. The work I came here to do has been completed.” He also said, “Look how a rational person takes death as normal.”
Furthermore, all the personalities present spoke about their friendship, love, and experiences with Velu Prabhakaran, praised Director Velu Prabhakaran’s principles, sharpness of thought, and technical prowess, and remembered his memories.
Director Sangaki Rajkumar hosted the event and shared his experiences. Finally, Digital Jagadish, his brother Velu Raja, and Arjun Velu, who were his close companions, shared their experiences and gave a vote of thanks.
