For the first time in the history of Eelam Tamil cinema, Osai Films presents a full-length film “Anthony” with the music of Isaignani Ilayaraja.
Produced by Osai Films, the new film “Anthony” stars Kayal Vincent in the lead role and TJ. Bhanu in the lead role, with a majority of Eelam film artists and famous Indian artists in the lead roles. Maestro “Isaignani” Ilayaraja is composing the music for the film.

was launched in Jaffna, Sri Lanka, on 05.03.2025 with a puja and was shot day and night for more than 45 days and was completed on 30.04.2025. The post-production work of the film began with editing in the month of Chithiraimatham, after which the dubbing was completed and the music was ready on 10.08.2025. Since the idea that it would be best to arrange a world-renowned music composer for our Eelam Tamil cinema was discussed during the production period, it was decided that it would be best for the musician Ilayaraja himself to provide suitable music for this film and we decided to approach him. Similarly, when we approached him last month, he agreed without any objection after listening to the story. At the same time, he also watched the film. The music work started within two days and has now reached the final stage. This is the first time in history that the musician Ilayaraja has composed music for a Jaffna love story and for an Eelam film.
Musician Ilayaraja, who is revered by millions of people as our symphony has reached its peak, has composed music for various films in many languages in India. The film Anthony, a film of the Eelam Tamil people, is recorded in history as Ilayaraja’s 1524th film and the first film of Eelam. At the age of 82, he has completed more than 1500 films and more than 8000 songs, and his music continues to be a source of life for people all over the world.
The film “Anthony”, which is waiting for the attention of millions of Tamil people in European countries, has been jointly directed by two young artists, Sukirthan Christuraja and Jenoshan Rajeswar. Kalaivalari Saha Iramana is the co-director and the film is produced by Osai Films founder Kalaivalari Saha Iramana and Suganthini Ramanados. Vijayan Balasingham (Vijay Films) and Sriiskandaraja (Trimline Productions) are co-producers, while Vicky (Kana Productions) is the line producer.
As Anthony is a film that showcases our unique local cinema in terms of films released in Sri Lanka, this film has created great expectations among the Tamil people in Europe and around the world.
