Produced by C Venkatesan under the banner of Aruvar Private Limited, starring Vidharth, and directed by V Gajendran, the film “Marutham” is a work that emphatically talks about the life of a farmer and the need for agricultural land. The film, which has been developed as a socially conscious work, is set to hit the screens in October.
In today’s society, the idea that we have to come forward by deceiving others, and that is not wrong, has prevailed among everyone. In such a society, a farmer who is deceived and affected, will recover from that impact? Or not? The focus of the film is to find out. With exciting events and a compelling screenplay, the film has emerged as a commercial film that will be enjoyed by all sections of the society.
Gajendran, who has worked with directors Saravana Subbaiah, Mohan Raja, and Bommarilu Bhaskar, studied at Adyar Film College, and is currently working as an assistant professor at SRM College, made his directorial debut with this film.
The film is named Marutham, symbolizing the agricultural land in our Tamil language.
Vidharth plays the lead role in the film. Rakshana plays his partner. Arul Das, Maran, Saravana Subbaiah, Dinamodhu Nagaraj, and Mathew Varghese play important roles.
Since the story takes place in Ranipet district, the entire shooting of the film has been completed around that area.
N R Raghunandan has composed the music for the film. Arul Somasundham has handled the cinematography. Chandru B has edited the film. Neethi has written the songs. A Raja is looking after the public relations work.
With the shooting of the film completed, the team is planning to release the film in October. An official announcement regarding the release date will be made soon.
