I am very happy to have received the Kalaimamani Award, the highest award given by the Government of Tamil Nadu in recognition of artists who excel in the field of art and culture.
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Mr. M.K. Stalin, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, Mr. Udhayanidhi Stalin, the Minister for Tamil Development and Information, Mr. M.P. Saminathan, the President of the Tamil Nadu Arts, Music and Drama Council, Vaagai Chandrasekar, the administrators and the members of the selection committee.
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Producer Aapavanan, Revolutionary Artist Vijayakanth, Director Aravindaraj, and those from the film industry who introduced me to the film industry through the film ‘Oomai Vizhigal’, and to my friends from the press and media.
