Poet Vaali’s Birthday Celebration
Padmashri Vaali is the only film lyricist who has written the most film songs in India and has written songs for five generations of heroes.
Beyond political sentiments, he was loved by two great leaders, Kalaignar and M.G.R.!
On behalf of Vaali Publishing, the 94th birthday celebration of the epic poet Vaali will be held on Saturday evening, 1.11.2025, under the leadership of Irachelvar Sivalyam Mohan in the presence of Panpalar Nellai Balasubramaniam at the PT Thiagarayar Arangam near the Kaviyarasu Kannadasan statue in Thiagarayanagar, Chennai.
The Vaali Award, which is presented annually with a cash prize of 50,000 rupees, will be presented to writer Malan and poet Gangai Amaran this year. The awards will be presented by film director K. Bhagyaraj.
Film director Lingusamy releases the book titled Vaaliyin Tirippattu Muzhakamgal, written by film assistant director poet Badumai Selvan. Film producer Mr. Thiagarajan honors the dignitaries on stage. Vaali Publishing Managing Director Engineer Bharathi Shankar will deliver the welcome address. Trichy Comedy Mandar Secretary Mr. Sivagurunathan will coordinate the event.
Earlier at 5 pm, famous singers will participate in a melodious program presented by film composer Thayanban and sing Vaali’s film music songs.
