Parasakthi Film World Launch Event!!
“Parasakthi” is a grand film produced by Akash Baskaran under the banner of Dawn Pictures, starring Sivakarthikeyan, Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa Murali, and Sreeleela, and directed by Sudha Kongara.
Set against the historical backdrop of the 1960s, this film, which celebrates the pride of Tamil culture in a unique setting, is scheduled for a worldwide release on January 14th, 2026, as a Pongal release.
Red Giant Movies is distributing the film worldwide, presented by Inban Udhayanidhi.
At Valluvar Kottam, the film crew has recreated the world of Parasakthi by showcasing cars, a train, a railway station set, and essential items from the 1960s era. The world of Parasakthi has been created as an exhibition for the public to view.
The fact that the film’s world has been designed and showcased for the public before its release has attracted the attention of many. The public can visit and experience the world of Parasakthi for the next three days (December 19, 20, and 21).
The launch event of the Parasakthi film world took place grandly at the Valluvar Kottam auditorium, amidst a large gathering of fans, the film crew, and film personalities, in the presence of media representatives.

Director Sudha Kongara said:
Through cinema, we can live in different walks of life. That’s what I love most about it. Just as I lived in the world of boxing in the film ‘Irudhi Suttru’, in ‘Parasakthi’, we have entered and experienced our historical period. The idea that we must fight for our rights deeply affected me. We have meticulously recreated every detail to bring back that historical world. We have recreated that era. It feels like I’ve lived through the 1960s again. Everyone will definitely like this film. Thank you.

“Parasakthi is a vast world. Sudha Kongara won me a National Award for Soorarai Pottru. I knew Sudha even when I was working with Rahman sir. I haven’t done many films with her. After a long time, we did Soorarai Pottru. It was a huge film for both me and Suriya sir. Parasakthi is a way of expressing my gratitude for that.
