Sivakarthikeyan Productions and Passion Studios, known for selecting quality stories and providing opportunities to talented individuals, have jointly produced ‘Thai Kizhavi’, a film starring actress Radhika and directed by debutant director Sivakumar Murugesan. The teaser for the film has been released.

Regarding the film, debutant director Sivakumar Murugesan shared, “I worked as an assistant director under director Manikandan. After hearing the story of this film, Sivakarthikeyan sir gave me more than the expected budget and the actors I had hoped for, instructing me to make the film exactly as I envisioned without any compromises. Accordingly, the film has turned out very well.

This film tells the story of a 75-year-old woman and her family living in Kadupatti village near Usilampatti. It also depicts the customs, dialect, family problems, and rituals of the people living in that region. We have presented these aspects in a commercial way, blending humor and entertainment, so that the audience can enjoy it in theaters, without a serious tone.”

Speaking about the actors in the film, he said, “In this film, Radhika ma’am plays the role of Pounuthayi, a 75-year-old woman. Singampuli, Aruldas, and Bala Saravanan play her three sons. Rachel Rebecca plays her daughter, and Muthukumar plays her son-in-law. Munishkanth Ramadoss anna plays the important character of Pennycuick, a prominent person in that village. In addition, Ilavarasu and George play two other important roles. Many non-actor villagers from around Usilampatti have also acted in this film.” When asked about the technical crew, he said, “Vivek Vijayaraj, who worked with Manikandan sir just like me, has handled the cinematography for this film. Shan Lokesh is the editor, Ramu Thangaraj is the art director, and Nivas K Prasanna is the music director. We have humorously depicted the people of the village, their lifestyle, and also addressed women’s empowerment and the value of family. I believe that the audience who watch this film in theaters will surely celebrate it.”
