S.A.C. receives Best Actor Award in Kolkata!

Director S. A. Chandrasekharan has been awarded the Best Actor award. The award was given for his performance in the film ‘Kooran’. Speaking about it, director S.A. Chandrasekharan said:

“I have been working in the film industry for 45 years as a producer and director. Now I am also an actor. Even when I think of retiring from cinema, it never ends. Cinema is like air; I am always breathing it.
I continue to work as a producer, director, and now as an actor. Among the films I have acted in, acting in ‘Kooran’, especially acting alongside a dog, was a unique experience. It’s a story about the bond between a dog and a human. In that sense, acting in that film was a different experience.

I have received a Best Actor award for my performance in the film ‘Kooran’. The Film Federation of India and the People for Animals organization jointly presented me with this award. This award, called ‘Cinekind’, is given for portraying love in cinema. I received an invitation to accept the award.
They presented me with the award at the ITC star hotel in Kolkata. I attended the ceremony with my wife and happily received the award. I would say this is an example that if you work with faith and dedication in cinema, it will bring you pride and recognition,” he said happily.
