The film is written and directed by director S..Manibharathi, following the films Vethu Vedtu and Suksha. The film is produced by V. Vijayakumar on behalf of Srinidhi Productions and K,.Kandasamy, K.Ganeshan of Anjaneya Productions.
The film stars Srikanth as the hero and Srishti Dange as the heroine. And John Vijay, Black Pandi, Pappu, Devi Priya, Divya Sridhar, Vikram Anand are the main stars in the film.
The film ‘The Bed’ is set to release worldwide on January 2.
Following this, the press screening of the film was held yesterday. The team of ‘The Bed’ welcomed all the journalists who came to see the film with a drum beat, and also greeted each of them with a white flower shawl and wished them a happy New Year.
This is the first time in Tamil cinema that a special screening has been held to welcome journalists with such a warm welcome.

Actress Divya Sridhar, who plays Amma in the film, said,
“I am a girl from Kerala. I have made my first step into the Tamil film industry through the film The Bed. This is a bit of a challenging and bold character. Thank you for choosing me for such a character. My character will definitely make the fans talk,” she said.
Actor Black Pandi spoke,
“This is my second film with director Mani Bharathi. I have played many friend roles so far. But this film was new to me. The director has told this story from a pet’s point of view. As far as director Mani Bharathi is concerned, he always makes it a (U/A) film that is in between U and A.
Music composer Tajnoor has given excellent music,” he said.
Music composer Tajnoor said,
“Initially, they said that this film would be a thriller genre. But the way they created it, as if it were a pet story, was very good.”
Director Mani Bharathi said,
“The hero of the film, Srikanth, was away on vacation with his family, so he could not attend the event. We invited heroine Srushti Dange twice to attend the event, but she did not come.
We have settled her full salary for all this. If she had any salary arrears, she would have come.
There are five notable actresses in Tamil cinema who can play mother roles.
They cannot be used for the role of mother in this film. Even if they are invited, they will not come to act.. When we offered this role to some actresses, they refused. That is why we went to Kerala and selected a new face to play it. She will be the new mother in Tamil cinema for some time.
