At the 49th Book Fair,

Vijay Milton’s love poems

Ananda Vikatan published and released Vijay Milton’s book of poems at the 49th Book Fair.

This book of poems, titled “Love and Things Related to Love,” features forewords by Manushya Puthiran, Kalapriya, director Balu Mahendra, director R. Parthiban, director Agathiyan, and director Brinda Sarathy.

Vijay Milton, who has expressed poetry through the camera in films like Priyamudan Kaadhal, Autograph, Vazhakku Enn 18/9, Deepavali, Goli Soda, Mazhai Pidikkatha Manithan, and 10 Enrathukkulla, has now expressed poetry through a book.

Kalapriya, who read the book, says:

“It’s no surprise that these poems naturally captivated me. Vijay Milton has experimented with various types of poems, such as ‘Rose Dream’ and ‘The Story of White Doves,’ and has succeeded in them.”

Manushya Puthiran

“Vijay Milton’s poems are made of the unending prayers of love. They are prayers that no deity has answered throughout the ages. The words of that unique language are the dreams that are created. These poems of Milton are the translation of those dreams.”

Director R. Parthiban

“No one who has experienced love can remain untouched by these expressions of love. Or, at least, begin to love to understand the feelings of love hidden within these words.”

Director Agathiyan

“Without adorning the words with embellishments, the poet has made us feel the external and internal experiences of a good love throughout this book with the natural joy of love.” Director Brinda Sarathy

“When Milton says, ‘Anklets can speak,’
would anyone doubt, ‘Do anklets really speak?’ If the listener has discerning ears, they will speak. Their words can be understood.”

This book has received a tremendous response from readers and has become a topic of discussion in the media and on online platforms.
