Actor Soundararaja participated in the All India Conference held in Delhi
Actor Soundararaja, who has gained attention as a hero and co-hero in Tamil cinema, has been actively involved in nature, environment and agriculture-related work for the past few years through his Land and People Trust. He has been continuously doing various social services including planting trees, dredging lakes and ponds, carrying out cleanliness drives, and promoting organic farmers.
Following this, actor Soundararaja from Tamil Nadu participated in the NGO-CSR Conference organized by Vishwa Yuvak Kendra in Delhi for three days. NGOs from various states of India participated in the event.
In addition, many people including ministers, CEOs of multinational companies and industry experts participated in environmental seminars and training programs. Actor Soundararaja also participated in a seminar on future environmental protection and organic farming.
He said that he participated in this conference to learn about various schemes of the Government of India and to learn about the effective use of corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds for social welfare projects.
He said that he participated in this event to gain experience and guidance as he plans to take up and implement the work of dredging canals in his hometown Usilampatti, Madurai district.
He also emphasized that “at least one person from every household should come forward to engage in environmental protection work.”
