Movies made about the war- torn Sri Lanka usually appear more like a docu- drama sans any gripping situations and sequences.
But this is quite different.
A wedding gets fixed and the family obtains permission both from the IPKF and the Srilankan Army.
It is the penultimate night prior to the wedding ceremony scheduled the next morning and a bunch of IPKF Soldiers arrive in the vicinity of the house where the wedding is to take place.
A night of drinks for the men of that family and a night of rejoicing for the ladies belonging to the family turns into a nightmare with the battalion entering the household.
Meanwhile, the Rebels smell the presence of the IPKF Soldiers in that neighborhood and soon find out that they are inside.
A fight ensues but the climax is a revelation.
A finely crafted tale that moves at a steady pace with several moments of thrills.
The casting is perfect and each frame seems to have been sculpted meticulously.
