Male members of the family, especially , not so educated ones or those who seek service -oriented job opportunities, travelling abroad seeking greener pastures is a common occurrence in Kerala.
After earning enough money, they come back to their families, never to return or go back with a view to continue the earning spree!
Ram Chakri whose earlier outing , Kurai Ondrum Illai , has come up with a content set around a couple, Selvam (Samuthirakani) and Shanthi (Lakshmipriya) with their son, Balu (Karan Chakravarthy).
Selvam is a car driver to Sampath (Gautham Vasudev Menon) who treats him well. So does his wife, Devi (Abhinaya).
While Sampath is away, Selvam, owing to the force of circumstances, turns Sampath ‘s car as a call – taxi to make ends meet.
Later, again due to the demands of the family , goes abroad to earn.
He badly misses his wife and son and the feelings are reciprocal.
He gives up the job there and comes back here to join his family.
The film drives home a few messages but a docu drama feel is more than evident!
Samuthirakani , Lakshmipriya and Karan appear just as a closely knit family with spontaneity surfacing all through!
The songs and background score are both value additions.
A heartwarming film indeed!
