“Flag” — The Film That Won the 16th Dadasaheb Phalke Award…
Produced by Vairaprakash under the banner of ‘I and I Movies’ and directed by S.P. Ponsankar, the film Flag has now arrived.
Speaking about the film, producer Vairaprakash stated:
“Flag is a film that articulates the national sentiment of 1.4 billion Indians through the perspective of a young boy.”
S.P. Ponsankar handled both the cinematography and direction of the film; the music was composed by Ravivarma and Balasubramaniam, while the editing was done by Varadhan.
Renowned Bollywood actor Mickey Makhija plays a pivotal role in the film. Joining him is Deehan—who previously portrayed the younger version of Dhanush in the film Idli Kadai—delivering a deeply moving performance. The cast also includes Ameer Malik, Keerthu Dwarakesh, Abhinav K. Swamy, Babusha, and many others.
“This film is poised to ignite the national spirit of 1.4 billion Indians. As a testament to this, we were honored yesterday to receive the 16th Dadasaheb Phalke Award for this film. Receiving this award with my own hands brings me boundless joy,” he added.
Further reflecting this sentiment, a special event was organized wherein film stars from the Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, and Marathi industries simultaneously released the film’s trailer in their respective languages.
Furthermore, we firmly believe that this film will undoubtedly go on to win a National Award as well.
