Press Conference for Rapper Kidd Santhe’s “Na Vera Level,” Presented by Sony Music!

A press conference for “Na Vera Level”—the new single by Malaysian Tamil hip-hop rapper, lyricist, and music producer Kidd Santhe—was held today in Chennai with great fanfare. The track has been released by the leading music label, Sony Music.

Kidd Santhe is celebrated as a pivotal voice within the new generation of Tamil hip-hop music emerging from Malaysia. His unique signature style lies in his ability to blend multiple languages—including Tamil, English, Malay, and Punjabi—within his rap verses.

With a passion for beatboxing and music that dates back to his childhood, Kidd Santhe rose to prominence at the age of 16 by producing tracks and sharing them via SoundCloud. Subsequently, he collaborated with various Malaysian hip-hop collectives to release a string of hit songs. He is currently establishing himself as one of the key young artists within the global “Desi Hip-Hop” movement.

He garnered significant attention from fans through tracks and albums such as “API,” “SAMPAH,” “Ambani Money,” and “Penjenayah.” Notably, through the track “Ambani Money,” he effectively channeled Indian culture, influence, and the vibrant energy of today’s youth through the medium of hip-hop.

Today in Chennai, his latest release—the track “Na Vera Level”—was officially unveiled; a song crafted against a rich backdrop of Indian cultural themes.

Speaking at today’s event, Director Parthiban Ravi stated:

“First and foremost, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to God, as well as to Sony Music Malaysia and Sony Music South. Thank you very much for granting me this opportunity. This marks my very first international album. Although I have previously produced two music videos in collaboration with Sony Music, this particular project holds a very special significance for me and remains deeply close to my heart.” Kid Santhe, thank you for giving me this opportunity to bring your wonderful idea to life. This album simply could not have been created without Diliphan. Guna and Ray—much like the “Mother of Dragons”—you were the ones who rallied support from every quarter for the songs in this album. The effort you poured into each and every track was immense. I would like to express my gratitude to all the artists who worked on this album. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who enjoyed this song.

Speaking on behalf of Sony Music, Revathi Mariappan stated:

Heartfelt congratulations to Kid Santhe on his debut international Tamil music release. We extend our thanks to Sony Music South for supporting this collaboration, as well as to everyone who worked on this album. The original plan was to film this song in Malaysia, but Kid Santhe suggested that we shoot it in Chennai instead. Sony Music also provided immense support for this endeavor.

The love and support that this album has received in Tamil Nadu have truly moved us. Our heartfelt thanks go out to everyone who welcomed a Tamil artist hailing from Malaysia with such warmth and affection. A large team worked tirelessly for several months to bring this song to fruition. Rather than relying solely on technology, we created this track by bringing together and harnessing the collective efforts of hundreds of artists. This success belongs not to Kid Santhe alone; we believe it also marks the beginning of a journey toward realizing the dreams of many other Tamil artists in Malaysia.

Tamil Nadu has always been a land that recognizes and celebrates talent. With that unwavering faith, we now place this song into your hands. Thank you.

Rapper Kid Santhe spoke as follows:

Greetings, everyone. My heartfelt thanks go out to everyone who has gathered here today to show their support for the song “Na Vera Level.” Throughout this journey, I am deeply grateful to Sony Music South and Sony Music Malaysia for placing their trust in me and providing their unwavering support.

The single most important person responsible for bringing this album to life is the Director. It was Director Ravi who transformed a mere storyboard into a vibrant, living visual experience. My heartfelt thanks go out to him. Likewise, I would also like to thank choreographer Akash, who taught me the dance moves in just three days.

Ravana Ram is like a brother to me. A friendship that began with a simple message on Instagram blossomed into the creation of the song “Na Vera Level” during a single studio session. His talent is truly extraordinary.

Through this song, I did not intend to showcase myself as an actor or a music composer. I created this track solely to highlight the true heroes of Tamil Nadu—the auto-rickshaw drivers. As they safely transport people from one place to another every single day, they are the unsung heroes of our daily lives. When I first arrived in Chennai, my car suffered a flat tire and came to a halt. That very moment—when I helped an auto-rickshaw driver change a tire—became the core concept behind this entire song. “Na Vera Level” refers not to me, but to the auto-rickshaw drivers themselves.

Today, they face numerous challenges, such as rising fuel prices, maintenance costs, and competition from bike taxis. My objective in creating this song is to ensure that the respect and affection they deserve reach the public.

I am a young man from Malaysia, and I have come before you through the medium of music. I offer my heartfelt gratitude for the love and warm welcome that Tamil Nadu has extended to me. I humbly request that you watch “Na Vera Level” on YouTube and lend your support. Thank you.

You can officially watch the “Na Vera Level” music video on the Sony Music YouTube channel.
