Update on the Film ‘Arasan’ Starring Silambarasan TR
Reports have emerged stating that filming is proceeding at a brisk pace for Arasan—a movie featuring Tamil cinema’s leading star, Silambarasan TR, in the central role—with the aim of releasing it in theaters worldwide on the upcoming festival of Diwali.
Directed by Vetrimaaran, Arasan features a stellar cast including Silambarasan TR, Priyanka Mohan, director-actors Ameer and Samuthirakani, Kishore, and actress Andrea, among others. Produced by Kalaippuli S. Thanu under the banner of V Creations, this film is being crafted as a grand action entertainer introducing new characters within Vetrimaaran’s Vada Chennai cinematic universe.
The first schedule of filming for the movie commenced in Kovilpatti. Currently, the second schedule is proceeding vigorously in Chennai and is nearing completion. Silambarasan TR, Priyanka Mohan, Samuthirakani, Andrea, and Kishore are participating in this ongoing schedule.
Following this, a massive open-air set has been erected in a village located along the East Coast Road (ECR) in the outskirts of Chennai for the next phase of filming. This set has been meticulously designed to serve as a lifelike, complete recreation of Vada Chennai (North Chennai). Those who have witnessed the set have begun to speak in awe of its craftsmanship, noting that it has been constructed with even greater finesse than the ‘Dharavi’ set created for Superstar Rajinikanth’s film Kaala. This set has been built at a monumental cost.
Vijay Sethupathi, who plays the role of a police officer in the film, is set to join the cast for the third schedule of filming. Ameer, who played the character Rajan in the film Vada Chennai, and Andrea, who played Chandra, are participating in this project.
The filming schedule has been planned to ensure that principal photography is completed in its entirety within the next three months; furthermore, all necessary preparations for releasing the film on the upcoming festival of Diwali are currently proceeding at a brisk pace.
Meanwhile, it is noteworthy that Arasan—a film starring Silambarasan TR and being produced in the Tamil film industry on a grand scale—has generated immense anticipation among fans and industry professionals following the release of an exclusive promotional teaser.
