Audio and Trailer Launch of the Movie ‘Heartin’ Starring Actor Sananth

The audio and trailer launch event for the film ‘Heartin’—produced by Trident Arts R. Ravindran and Step One Studios, and marking the debut of director Kishore Kumar and actor Sananth as the lead—was held grandly in Chennai.

‘Heartin’ is a romantic entertainer featuring a cast that includes Sananth, Madonna Sebastian, Imaya D, WhatsApp Mani, and Debnita Kar. Mukesh handled the cinematography, while Rajesh Murugesan composed the music. Bharath Vikraman managed the editing, and Durairaj oversaw the art direction.

The film’s crew attended the launch event ahead of its worldwide theatrical release on June 26.

Lyricist Sarathi said, “After working on the film ‘Ayothi’ for the same production house, I wrote two songs for this movie. Both are peppy tracks. I thank the director and the music composer for the opportunity. The experience of working on this film was unforgettable. The story explores the idea that even if one forgets God, one needs a heart that remembers love.”

Actor WhatsApp Mani said, “This is my first press meet. I met Kishore around 2014–15, after college, when he was making short films. Later, he participated in the ‘Naalaya Iyakkunar’ show, and my journey with him continued. He went on to direct web series and music albums. Now, he has directed ‘Heartin,’ and I am making my debut as an actor in this film. I am very happy about it. Kishore has written a deeply emotional story for this movie.” “This will be a feel-good movie. Fans will love it,” he said.

Actress Debnita Kar said, “I thank the director and producer for placing their trust in me and giving me this opportunity. It was a joy working on the set. I request everyone to visit theaters starting the 26th, watch the film, enjoy it, and show their support.”

Actor Varghese Mathew said, “Although I don’t wear a police uniform in this film, I play a wealthy father—but there are interesting nuances to the role. I play a father who packs and ships pickles and vathal (sun-dried vegetable crisps). It was a unique experience for me, and I think the audience will like it too.”

Editor Bharath Vikraman said, “‘Heart’ is one of my favorite films—and I’m not saying this just because I worked on it. The director and I watched the final cut just last week. It’s not just a fast-paced film; it offers a truly immersive experience. I am happy to be a part of it. Every character written by the director has depth and uniqueness; the writing for the female characters, in particular, is profound. The film features two distinct worlds, which cinematographer Mukesh has visualized beautifully. When Rajesh Murugesan’s music blends with this, magic happens. You can experience that magic in theaters.”

Music composer Rajesh Murugesan said, “I am happy to be standing on this stage. This film is very special to me; I enjoyed a great deal of creative freedom while working on it. There are five songs in the movie, penned by lyricists Sarathi, Vivek, and Mohan Rajan. It is a youthful film—please go to the theaters, watch it, enjoy it, and celebrate it.” Actress Imaya D said, “This is my debut film, which makes it very special to me. I thank producer Ravindran for giving this opportunity to act to me and many other newcomers like myself. It is a beautiful film; there is something in it that will instantly connect with and captivate everyone.

Sananth makes his debut as a lead actor with this film. He has performed excellently in a ‘boy-next-door’ role. I am sure the audience will love this movie.”

Actress Madonna Sebastian said, “I agreed to act in this film because I really loved the story when I heard it. It is a love story. You may have seen countless love stories, but this one has a unique touch—something I hope you will truly feel. Please go to the theaters with your families on the 26th to watch ‘Heartin’ and celebrate it wholeheartedly.”

Creative Consultant Manimegalai said, “Everyone on the team—not just the designated creators—contributed creatively to this film; it was a joy working with them. Rather than presenting a choice between loving one person, two people, or choosing one out of two, this film poses a more fundamental question: do you want to love at all?”
…is what I think. That is the impression I got while watching this film. One needs to watch this movie with the heart; only then will it be understood and appreciated,” he said.

Director Kishore Kumar said, “This is my first time on stage. I thank the producer for giving me the opportunity to direct this film. There are five songs in the movie, and music director Rajesh has composed each one with deep emotion, heart, and soul. We have portrayed two different worlds in this film, presenting them within a two-hour runtime.

I wanted everyone who had worked with me on my short films to be part of my debut feature film. That is why I cast people like Ajit Koshy and Varghese Mathew in small roles. Actress Imaya has made a significant contribution to this film; her involvement is one of the reasons the female characters are so complex and emotionally resonant.

After watching the movie Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum, I wanted to work with Madonna Sebastian. I narrated the story to her for about forty minutes, and she liked the idea. She has played a wonderful, memorable character—one that will stand out in her filmography. I am sure you, the audience, will love it too.

Sananth’s character in this film has two distinct facets, and he has showcased this difference through his brilliant acting skills. He has truly carried the film on his shoulders.

In today’s world, we hear so many terms regarding relationships—like ‘situationships’ or ‘vacationships’—but the emotion of love itself never changes; it remains evergreen. While there have been countless love stories before, Heartin stands apart from all of them,” he said.

Actor Sananth said, “Heartin… true to its name, it is a cute and breezy film.” “When the director first narrated the story to me, I too thought it was just a typical love story. However, while working on the set, I realized the story had multiple layers and deep emotions. Watching the finished film evoked a profound feeling in me.

The technicians are the real heroes of this film; cinematographer Mukesh, in particular, has delivered stunning visuals. Since this was my debut as a lead actor, I had expected just one female lead, but I ended up with two. I truly loved the characters of both heroines in the film, and this connection will resonate with the audience as well. This film is genuinely soulful,” he said.
