Anbe Diana’ Trailer Launch Event!!
The trailer launch event for the film Anbe Diana—jointly produced by Million Dollar Studios and Neo Castle Creations—was held in Chennai. The film’s cast and crew attended the event and shared various interesting details about the movie with the press. Speaking on the occasion, Gopi (of Parithabangal fame) said:

“To speak about this film—when Pari first began narrating the story, the way he described Perambur captivated me. I am a Chennai native; I have visited Perambur many times. I’ve boarded buses at ICF and traveled on the 29C route. Yet, the way he depicted Perambur made it seem like a world of its own. His story sparked a desire in me to visit and experience that place firsthand.
I even shared the story enthusiastically with my friends. That was when I realized I had developed a deep connection to the narrative without even fully noticing it. Consequently, even before production began, I visited Perambur three or four times to explore the specific locations Pari had mentioned. It felt like discovering a whole new world—one that had existed right here in the Chennai I knew, yet had gone unnoticed by me until then.
Most of the characters in this film are inspired by real people Pari encountered in his own life. That is why this film is so special to me. I worked with complete satisfaction on every aspect—the music, the background score, the screenplay, and the performances. When Pari first came to narrate this story to me, I asked, ‘What kind of character am I going to play?’ He replied, ‘You are playing the father.’ Upon hearing that, I felt a bit hesitant, wondering, ‘Is it just father roles coming my way these days?’ I jokingly remarked, ‘My friend Samuthirakani is still playing young roles, yet here I am, already cast as a father!’ Pari responded by saying, ‘You are a young father.’
However, after hearing the entire story, I told him, ‘This isn’t just a father role; if the need arose, I would happily play a grandfather too.’ That is how beautifully he had written the story.
It wasn’t just my character; every character in the film has a complete journey and a beautiful resolution. All the characters have been crafted with great finesse. That is the film’s greatest strength.

“Greetings to everyone. Generally, I don’t speak much on stage. However, I came here today with the intention of saying a few words.
I would like to share a brief story. A young man loses everything in life—no job, no home, nothing. Every day, he sits at the railway station, watching people go about their lives.
One day, an elderly woman approaches him and offers him a cup of tea. When he says, ‘I don’t have any money,’ she replies, ‘I am not asking for money. I bought this tea for you just to let you know that you are not alone.’
He drinks the tea. Its warmth touches not just his body, but his heart as well. The next day, he looks for that woman. He searches for her repeatedly, but she never returns. Yet, the warmth of that tea stays with him. It gives him the hope that ‘You are not alone… there are many people who care for you.’
In my own life, too, there are many people who have helped me reach this position. I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of them from this stage.

Pari Elavazhagan, who gained recognition with the film ‘Jama’, has written the story and screenplay, directed the movie, and starred as the male lead.
