Director A.J. Balakrishnan requests the Chief Minister to nationalize the film “Kamaraj”

A.J. Balakrishnan, Director of the film “Kamaraj”
Request to Chief Minister Joseph Vijay.

Greetings.

I wish you continued success in your service to the nation.

We produced and released a film titled “Kamaraj,” based on the life of the great leader Kamarajar. The film received widespread acclaim and stands as the first cinematic documentary on the great leader.

To produce the film, I secured assistance from various sources and obtained bank loans.

Following “Kamaraj,” I produced films such as “Welcome Back Gandhi” and “Thirukkural.” Unfortunately, these did not generate enough revenue to repay the debts incurred for “Kamaraj.” Consequently, I am navigating life under a heavy mental burden, lacking the courage to face my creditors.

The Central Government provided assistance for the film “Gandhi.” For the film “Ambedkar,” both the Central Government and the Government of Maharashtra contributed approximately ₹18 crore. The Tamil Nadu Government provided support for the film “Periyar.”

Given that you regard the great leader Kamarajar as a guiding light, I am hopeful that your government will assist me.

I earnestly request you to nationalize the film “Kamaraj”—which was produced for the greater good of the nation—and dedicate it to Tamils across the globe.

I request a compensation of ₹2 crore (Rupees Two Crores) for this purpose. This would enable me to repay my debts and find peace of mind, knowing I undertook this noble endeavor.

With this assistance, Tamils worldwide will offer you their blessings. I wish for your service to continue for many years to come.

May you receive the blessings of the great leader Kamarajar.
Wishing you prosperity and well-being. Yours sincerely,

A. Balakrishnan
Director, Producer.
