‘Hi’, Starring Nayanthara and Kavin, to Release in August
The film crew has released a special video officially announcing the release date of ‘Hi’, a movie marking the first-time collaboration between leading Tamil star Nayanthara and actor Kavin.
Directed by debutant Vishnu Edavan, ‘Hi’ features a cast that includes Nayanthara, Kavin, K. Bhagyaraj, Prabhu, Radhika Sarathkumar, VTV Ganesh, Sathyan, ‘Adithya’ Kathir, and Qureshi. Rajesh Shukla handles the cinematography, while Jen Martin composes the music. Philomin Raj is in charge of editing, and S. Kannan oversees the art direction. Produced as a family entertainer, the film is a joint venture by Nayanthara, Vignesh Shivan, and S.S. Lalitkumar, representing Zee Studios, The Rowdy Pictures, and Seven Screen Studio. Vinoth C.J. and K.S. Mayilvahanan serve as co-producers, with V.K. Kubendran acting as the creative producer.
With a song from the film already released—garnering millions of digital views and heightening anticipation—the team has now unveiled a special video announcing the release date. The film is set to hit theaters worldwide on August 14th.
Speaking about the film, the director said, “‘Hi’ is—true to its name—a simple… and delightful… film.” “It has been crafted as an entertaining film that families can enjoy together over a runtime of two hours and fifteen minutes. The story of the movie ‘Hi’ unfolds across three locations: Chennai, Coimbatore, and Pollachi. Much like films such as ‘Darling Darling Darling’, ‘Santosh Subramaniam’, and ‘Yaaradi Nee Mohini’, this movie has been made as a family entertainer that features no villains,” the makers stated.
It is also noteworthy that the film ‘Hi’ has generated immense anticipation among both industry insiders and the audience. This excitement stems from the fact that it is directed by Vishnu Edavan—a lyricist who gained valuable experience working on Lokesh Kanagaraj’s hit films Kaithi, Master, and Vikram—and features a star-studded cast including Nayanthara, Kavin, K. Bhagyaraj, Prabhu, and Radhika Sarathkumar.
