Million Dollar Studios, the production house behind this film, has previously produced three movies that were well-received by audiences. I had long wished to meet the producer, Yuvaraj. Similarly, director Pari Elavazhagan is someone who has carved a niche for himself in both directing and acting; I had wanted to meet him as well. Even though it was released simultaneously, that film did not compete with ours; instead, it created a festive atmosphere for Tamil cinema. Many people who couldn’t get tickets for that other movie ended up watching Anbe Diana. In that sense, I consider both films to be successful. I also extend my heartfelt congratulations to the Jananayakan film crew.
Many new directors have pitched stories to our production house over the years. Some of them even proposed scripts featuring Yuvaraj Ganesh as the lead actor. This reflects the confidence the film industry places in him.
I must mention something specific about Yuvaraj. Even after producing a massive hit like Tourist Family, I never saw any arrogance or boastfulness in him regarding that success. On the contrary, he remained incredibly humble and focused on creating the next good film. Once, while we were talking, he said, “Making money isn’t important to me. What matters is creating good films and living a life filled with contentment and peace of mind.” Those words really resonated with me.
