MP L.K. Sudhish raises his voice in the Rajya Sabha for the healthcare rights of the people of Tamil Nadu…
Speaking on this matter, MP L.K. Sudhish said:
“I raised questions in the Rajya Sabha regarding the funds provided by the Central Government under the Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) scheme in Tamil Nadu, the number of beneficiary families, hospital authorizations, and the integration of the scheme with the state’s own health insurance program.
In its response, the Central Government stated that:
86.48 lakh families in Tamil Nadu have been covered under the scheme.
Treatments worth ₹10,359.38 crore have been approved, covering 1.27 crore hospital authorizations.
Tamil Nadu has received a Central share of ₹1,574.77 crore over the last three financial years.
I will continue to raise my voice to ensure that the people of Tamil Nadu receive comprehensive medical protection and continue to get the necessary support from the Centre.”
