“Aali” to Release in Tamil and Malayalam on August 14
‘Aali’: A Collaboration of Newcomers
‘Aali’ is a film created entirely by a team of newcomers.
While films featuring established stars continue to succeed in Malayalam cinema, there is also a wave of success driven by young filmmakers; their fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and unique storylines are propelling the industry in new directions. ‘Aali’ is one such film, crafted by a new team and produced simultaneously in both Tamil and Malayalam. Set in the border region between Tamil Nadu and Kerala, Aali is an emotional narrative centering on a young woman and themes of love, family, religion, culture, and life’s unexpected twists. The film’s gripping climax revolves around the protagonist’s marriage, which transcends the boundaries of religion and caste.
The cast includes Prajin, Dr. Krishna Priyadarshan, Kailash, Krishna Prasad, Latha Das, Dr. Rajith Kumar, Sourav Shyam, Aadhya Prasad (Shruthi), Manhar Priyadarshan, Joby, Manshad Leela, Suresh Thiruvalla, and others.
The film is written and directed by Dr. Krishna Priyadarshan, who also penned the lyrics. It is produced by Manhar Cinemas.
The technical crew features Rinas Nazar (Cinematography) and Abu Ziyad (Editing). A team of friends—Ramavarma Thampuran, Suresh, Ratheesh Rai, RR Brothers, and Shraddha Parvathi—collaborated on the music.
Vocals are provided by Arabic singer Hussain, Hindi singer Sampath, as well as Aravind Venugopal, Rithu Krishna, and Saritha Rajeev. Ratheesh Rai composed the music for the Arabic and Hindi songs. Sound design is by N. Shabu Cheruvalloor, and DI is by Sajay C.R.
Choreography is by Atul Radhakrishnan and Sunitha Noel. The art direction is handled by Akhilesh and Shiju Abaskar, with Sreedhar serving as the production controller. A talented team has come together to create this film.
