‘7 Star Boys’, starring Antony Varghese, to release on September 4
The release date for the film ‘7 Star Boys’, starring leading Malayalam actor Antony Varghese, has been announced. The movie is set to hit theaters across Tamil Nadu on September 4.
Directed by Nikhil Premraj, ‘7 Star Boys’ features Antony Varghese and former Indian national football team player I.M. Vijayan (known for his role in the film ‘Bigil’). Fayes Siddique has handled the cinematography, while Jakes Bejoy has composed the music. Originally released in Malayalam under the title ‘Aanaparambile World Cup’—where it received a tremendous reception—this football-themed film is being dubbed and released in Tamil by producer T. Ashok of Phoenix Studios.
Speaking about the film, producer T. Ashok said, “‘7 Star Boys’ is a sports drama centered on football. It revolves around a group of children under the age of 12 who have an intense passion for the sport. They look up to Antony Varghese—a talented player who commands everyone’s attention during local matches—as their role model. Although they wish to play football, they struggle because they lack a proper ground. Upon learning this, Antony Varghese arranges a playing field for them. Impressed by the children’s enthusiasm and skillful play on the field, and believing that a professional coach would help gain recognition for their talent, he approaches the renowned football coach I.M. Vijayan. Subsequently, the children master the nuances of the game and participate in competitions.” “The story of this film revolves around whether or not they win the trophy in state-level competitions. I expect the film ‘7 Star Boys’ to receive a reception similar to the one ‘Manjummel Boys’ got in Tamil Nadu,” he said.
