‘Kitti’: A psychological thriller hitting the screens on Gandhi Jayanthi.

Directed by Nedumaran Mohandas, ‘Kitti’ stars ‘Muruga’ Ashok as the protagonist.

‘Kitti’ is set to captivate audiences with its unique screenplay.

Produced by Thirumaran under the banner of Riya Sri Creations Private Limited and directed by Nedumaran Mohandas, the film Kitti is set for a worldwide release on October 2nd.

Much like the Kurinji flower that blooms only once every twelve years, films featuring truly gripping screenplays have become a rarity in Tamil cinema.

Even fans who enjoy commercial films often harbor a desire—at least two or three times a year—to watch a movie with a fast-paced, thrilling screenplay. Kitti is a film poised to fulfill that very expectation with its exciting story and gripping narrative.

While Tamil cinema often follows a standard formula—focusing on the investigation of who committed a crime—Kitti breaks this mold. By weaving the narrative around the protagonist, director Nedumaran Mohandas is sure to earn acclaim and stand tall once the film is released.

It is noteworthy that the director put immense effort into crafting each character and was meticulous in selecting the right actors to portray them. A memorable highlight mentioned by the director is the synergy between his guidance and Ashok’s performance in the role of a mentally ill patient; the portrayal promises to be outstanding.

There is no doubt that this film will mark a major turning point for ‘Muruga’ Ashok, who plays the lead role of a character suffering from mental illness. Following this film, he is certain to emerge as one of the busiest actors in Tamil cinema.

It is also worth noting that ‘Muruga’ Ashok is paired with three female leads in this film. It is noteworthy that R. Aravindraj—director of the film Oomai Vizhigal—plays a pivotal role alongside the three female leads: Nisha, Sanghavi, and Simu Advani.
Popular actor Y.G. Mahendran appears in a special role, while producer Thirumaran plays the character of a police investigating officer.

Filming has been completed, with shooting taking place in Kumbakonam, Cuddalore, Tharangambadi, and the areas surrounding Chennai.
