Vedan clarifies misinformation circulating on social media.
Generally, I do not respond to such information circulating privately. However, as misinformation about me is currently being deliberately spread on social media, a situation has arisen where I must provide a clarification.
Posts and reports are circulating claiming that I am about to launch a restaurant chain serving pork in Saudi Arabia and that I have issued a statement regarding this.
This information is completely untrue. I have never issued any such statement. I have no plans to start a hotel, restaurant, or food-related business in Saudi Arabia or any other Gulf country. No partnerships, applications, or business activities regarding this have been undertaken with any company.
My visits to Saudi Arabia take place solely in my capacity as a performing artist, upon the invitation of local event organizers.
I have always respected the laws, beliefs, culture, and customs of every country that invites me. I have never engaged in any statement or action that would create a misunderstanding contrary to these values.
Furthermore, this is not the first time such an incident has occurred. As the number of my shows and the reception I receive grow each year, I do not consider the simultaneous spread of such misinformation to be a coincidence. I view this as a deliberate attempt to undermine my artistic journey, my relationship with the audience who trust me, and my professional ties with international event organizers.
I remember very well where I started. Without any background and emerging from a situation where opportunities were scarce, I have reached my current position solely through the support of people who believed in me. That trust is both a massive responsibility and my greatest strength. Some may not appreciate an artist rising from humble beginnings through their own hard work. However, no one can derail my artistic journey through such orchestrated smear campaigns.
My team has gathered and documented the details of the social media accounts responsible for spreading this misinformation. Appropriate legal action regarding this matter is currently underway.
I have a sincere request for those sharing this information on social media: please verify the authenticity of any information before sharing it with others.
