Grand Pre-release Event for Dulquer Salmaan’s “I Am Game” – Worldwide Release from September 3!
A grand pre-release event for the highly anticipated film “I Am Game,” starring Dulquer Salmaan, was held today in Chennai. Attended by the film crew and prominent figures from the film industry, the event announced that the movie is set for a worldwide theatrical release starting September 3.
The film crew is enthusiastically carrying out extensive promotional activities across all the languages in which the movie is being released. As part of this effort, the team participated in the grand Chennai event to actively promote the Tamil version of “I Am Game” to the audience.
Cast, crew, and special guests attended the event, sharing their thoughts on the film “I Am Game” and their experiences working on the project. Speaking at the event, actor Kathir said:
“‘I Am Game’ is a unique film packed with surprises. There is much more in store than what you saw in the trailer; every scene has been crafted to offer a memorable experience for the audience.
I play the role of a cricket captain in this film, even though I had very little prior experience playing the sport—I had only played casual ‘bat cricket’ during my school days. It is truly remarkable that the director had the confidence to cast me as a captain. I learned the sport from scratch for this role; the experience was so intense that I felt like retiring from cricket immediately afterward!
There is immense hard work and faith behind this project. Dulquer Salmaan’s passion for cinema—specifically his willingness to take risks on fresh stories and unique ventures—is truly inspiring. I am confident that fans will support ‘I Am Game’ when it releases on September 3rd.”
Actress Samyuktha Viswanathan said:
“Having grown up as a cinema enthusiast, the emotions and impact a film leaves on the viewer are very important to me.
My character in this film was unique and deeply touched my heart. The long shooting schedule—especially the one in Hyderabad—was a great learning experience for me. Although it was challenging to convey the required emotions within a very short span of time, the process taught me a great deal about acting. Meeting and working with Dulquer Salmaan was an unforgettable experience.
Even though there are many characters in the film, we all became like a family during the shoot. Produced by Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films, this grand fantasy thriller stands as one of the biggest projects in his career. Directed by Nahas Hidayath, the film also holds the distinction of being Dulquer Salmaan’s 40th movie.
Produced jointly by Dulquer Salmaan and Jom Varghese under the Wayfarer Films banner, the screenplay was written by Sajir Baba, Ismail Abu Backer, and Bilal Moidu. The dialogues were penned by Sajir Baba, Adarsh Sukumaran, and Shabas Rashid.
The film features an ensemble cast in key roles, including Antony Varghese, actor-director Mysskin, Gayathri Lohar, Kathir, Parth Tiwari, and Samyuktha Viswanathan.
Jakes Bejoy has composed the music, while the action sequences were choreographed by the Anbariv masters. Zee Music has acquired the music rights for the film.
“I Am Game” is set for a pan-India release in five languages: Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada.
With the previously released trailer and first song receiving a warm reception from fans, this pre-release event has further heightened anticipation for the film.
