Exclusive event for the film ‘Scene’, starring Suriya, held in Dubai
Glimpse of Suriya’s character, ‘DSP Inbaraj’, from the film ‘Scene’ unveiled
The first promotional event for the film ‘Scene’—produced by Jyothika and Suriya under the banners of 2D Entertainment and Zhagaram Studios, and directed by Jithu Madhavan—was held with great fanfare at a prominent shopping mall in Dubai.
‘Scene’ features Suriya, Nazriya Nazim, Naslen, Anandaraj, Lal, and Raj Priyan in key roles. Directed by Jithu Madhavan, the film boasts cinematography by Vineeth Augustine and music by Sushin Shyam. Co-produced by Jayashree Damodaran, this mass action entertainer is set for a worldwide theatrical release on November 6th, coinciding with the festival of Diwali.
The film’s team has begun promotional activities to reach the audience, with the first event taking place at a popular mall in Dubai, UAE. The event was attended by actors Suriya and Naslen, actress Nazriya Nazim, director Jithu Madhavan, and co-producers Jayashree Damodaran and Rajsekar Pandian.
Speaking at the event, co-producer Jayashree Damodaran said:
“Zhagaram is Suriya’s dream. Zhagaram Studios is an endeavor to bring that dream to life, and we have begun this journey with the film ‘Scene’.” Beyond 2D Entertainment—the production house behind films like ‘Soorarai Pottru’ and ‘Jai Bhim’—we also wish to produce films under the banner of ‘Zhagaram Studios’.

Director Jithu Madhavan said:
“I was tempted to start speaking in Malayalam, given the large number of Malayalis living here in this Arab nation; however, I must speak in Tamil, as that is the language in which I have directed this film. We hope that everyone will come to the theaters on the very first day to watch it.
Within five minutes of hearing the story, Suriya started to laugh—that was when I realized he truly liked the script.
The boundaries between film industries have faded; People are now watching movies in all languages. In Kerala, Tamil films are being watched and celebrated, just as Malayalam films are in Tamil Nadu. For the audience, the distinction between a ‘Tamil film’ and a ‘Malayalam film’ no longer exists. I am confident that this movie will be enjoyed by everyone.”
Actor Naslen said:

When I learned I would be acting alongside a star I had admired on screen since I was young, my heart raced on the first day of the shoot. My mind went completely blank—it was as if everything had vanished, leaving a void. I was floating in a state of pure wonder; it felt like a dream come true. I play a very unique character in this film,” she said.
Actress Nazriya Nazim said:
“I was born, raised, and educated here in Dubai, so I am delighted to be back. Thank you to everyone who has come today. It has been 12 years since I last acted in a Tamil film, and I am grateful to director Jithu for placing his trust in me and giving me this opportunity.
