A remake of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Kaithi (2019) with Karthi as the protagonist, this is a crime thriller laced with emotions. While following the original script ceremoniously, Ajay Devgn has made suitable changes to make this remake viable to the Bollywood audience most of which are good enough.
Thanks to Ajay Devgn, he has refrained from meddling with the life-line of the original script owing to which this too is enjoyable!
on his release from prison after a decade, Bhoola (Ajay Devgn) sets out anxiously to meet his daughter but the intervention of a senior cop, Diana Joseph (Tabu) forces him to alter his plans as the route he has to take will have to necessarily cross the paths of a mafia gang and of course the police department.
Ajay Devgn is in his usual elements and excels in the action sequences.
Aseem Bajaj’s cinematography adds pep to the scenes of bone-spitting action.
Watch it for the action blocks as well as the emotional content.
Tabu is majestic and leaves behind an impact.
Deepak Dobriyal is menacing as the villain.
