India’s leading streaming platform, Disney+ Hotstar on Friday released the official teaser of its much-awaited new original series, ‘Mathagam’, Directed by Prasath Murugesan featuring actors Atharvaa, Manikandan and Nikhila Vimal in the lead.
The gripping teaser of the crime thriller series, which strongly suggests that the entire series is based on the happenings of one night, took the Internet by storm, within just hours of being released.
The teaser, which reveals that Atharvaa as an ardent cop, also drops strong hints that Manikandan of Good Night fame playing a gangster for the very first time.
The smartly-cut teaser strongly reinforces that it will be an exciting thriller. The teaser is bound to raise expectations even more with the audience.
The teaser begins with a voice asking audiences what all can a night do? It then proceeds to answer its own question, setting the premise for a thrilling roller-coaster ride.
Directed by Prasath Murugesan with the production handled by Screen Scene Media Entertainment, the series will also feature a host of other actors including ace director Gautham Menon, Dilnaz Irani, Ilavarasu, DD (Dhivyadarshini), Vadivukarasi, Aruvi Thirunavukkarasu, Munnar Ramesh, Sarath Ravi, Rishikanth and Murali Abbas.
‘Mathagam’ in Tamil means the forehead of an elephant. The mighty animal uses its forehead for both offense and defense.
The music for the series is by Darbuka Siva, Cinematography by Edwin Sakay and editing is by Praveen Antony.
Popular stunt master Dhilip Subbarayan has choreographed the explosive action sequences in the series, which has art direction by Suresh Kallery.
