At the very outset, the director deserves a pat on his back for coming up with a clean slate entertainer set around school children without resorting to cheap stuff in the guise of comedy!
The screenplay packs a punch delivering a definite message about how children should try and understand how they need to act with responsibility while their parents slog endlessly to educate them well, besides trying to make ends meet at home!
Aadukalam Murugadoss and Saisri Prabhakaran present themselves as responsible parents wanting their son, Sathya (Hamaresh Satish) to get educated well.
With that objective in mind, they shift him to a private school but the cost involved forces them both to slog in suffering as well as in silence!
Even Sathya’s elder sister is not spared as she has to toil hard to contribute to her brother’s education.
On realizing the folly of his family members, Sathya tries out tricks at the new school so that he is shown the door which would facilitate him to go back to his former school thereby reducing the burden of his family members!
These portions appear a bit dramatic but a clear cut message gets delivered and there is no doubt about it!
Hamaresh has made a fine start as the film’s pivotal character.
