Managing over 40+ comedy artistes and dishing out a wholesome entertainer is no easy task but director Kalyan has achieved that feat in an effortless manner!
Santhanam scores in his trademark style letting loose one-liners time and again in his inimitable style!
Set in the 1980s, the director’s acumen for research based execution of the period setting demands definite, meritorious mention! For instance, the bell-bottom pants, hair style, huge shirt collars so on and so forth…
Watch out for that railway station sequence which showcases a steam engine of that era which reflects Kalyan’s eye for detail! The period settings have been meticulously monitored and mounted, kudos to the entire direction and production teams!
A well-meaning youth Kathir (Santhanam) suffers at the hands of his dominating granddad, his dad who is addicted to both wine and women besides his mischievous sister whose sole objective in life is to keep pulling her brother’s legs, that too, all the time!
Eventually, the grandad (R.Sundarrajan) dies owing to a freak accident at home while switching on a table fan and all hell breaks in that palatial bungalow with a herd of relatives and other acquaintances arriving there!
One such visitor is a half-sari clad beauty (Radhika Preethi) with whom Kathir falls in love head to heels!
Anandraj has a sari-clad woman proves a scene-stealer while Naren, known for his depiction of serious characters, opens up his funny side!
What follows after has to be seen to be believed, the scenes and sequences filled with fun and frolic with never a dull moment!
The rest of the movie should not be watched with a logical bent of mind but with a magical slant on humor!
