Produced by Monika Productions and directed by S.A.Vijayakumar, Communist Party of India Tamil Nadu State Secretary Ira Mutharasan and actor Samuthirakani star in the movie “Arisi” which is being developed as a work that strongly talks about the politics behind food in today’s society. The team has completed the entire shooting of the film and has now started the final stages.
The film is shaping up to be a compelling work that talks about the politics behind our food, rice, and the realities of agriculture. The corporate that proposes western food is destroying our heritage without us even knowing it. Director S.A. Vijayakumar has made this very important problem of our society into a profound work with a compelling screenplay.
Tamil Nadu State Secretary of the Communist Party of India, Comrade Ira Mutharasan, who was shocked to hear the story of the film, and Samuthirakani have played the main roles together on screen for the first time. Actor Samuthirakani’s character will be talked about as very important in today’s environment.
The shooting of the film has been conducted in Thanjavur, Kumbakonam, Gudavasal and Tiruvaiyaru which are famous for agriculture.
Director Subramaniam Siva, Sisar Manohar, Rusya Mayan, Bigg Boss Tamarai, Kovi Ilango, Mahimai Raj, Perambalur Mani Sekaran, Ramesh and Master Hari Krishna have also acted with them.
