Tirunelveli music composer Navpal Raja, who mixed Telugu cinema, is making his debut in Tamil!
Tamil technicians working in other language films are proving that wherever talented people are, opportunities will find them. One of them is music composer NAWFAL RAJA, who left Tamil cinema and is currently mixing Telugu cinema.
A native of Tirunelveli, composer Navpal Raja had a deep love for music from childhood and learned to play several musical instruments during his school days. Also, after completing his schooling, he decided that the music industry was his life and journeyed into it and is currently traveling as one of the leading music composers of Telugu cinema.
Naubal Raja, who made his debut as a music composer in Telugu cinema with the hugely successful film ‘Artha Sadapdam’ starring Naveen Chandra and Saikumar, impressed the Telugu fans by giving super hit songs in the very first film. Following that, he composed music for the films ‘Rudrangi’ and ‘Naragasura’ starring Jagapathibabu, Mamata Mohan Das and Vimala Raman. Navpal Raja, who composed music for three consecutive hits, emerged as the hit music composer of Telugu cinema. He is currently composing music for five films. Navpal Raja is making his debut as a music director in Tamil cinema with the film ‘Aan Makan’, where he plays the hit hero of ‘8 Bullets’ fame. Directed by debutant director Kandasamy, the film stars Prabhu, Mansoor Ali Khan and many other leading stars. It is noteworthy that Vairamuthu wrote all the songs of this film.
While Navbal Raja’s composition of Vairamuthu’s songs in the very first film was a surprise to many, what was more surprising was that composer Navbal Raja’s work while still a programmer attracted Vairamuthu through his work.
While Naubal Raja was a programmer, he has done programming for many composers including GV Prakash Kumar, Tajnoor. Vairamuthu heard about the programming he did then, inquired about him, sought him out and made him work on the ‘Nadpadu Theral’ song collection he created with 100 musicians. Navpal Raja, one of the music composers who impressed the poet’s heart from that day, approached Vairamuthu to write songs for his first Tamil film, he immediately agreed and wrote four super hit songs.

Composer Naubal Raja, who says that melodious songs are his forte, is capable of playing 25 instruments simultaneously. It is noteworthy that such an achievement was performed in the presence of former Prime Minister Vajpayee and he received an award in his hand!
