Narayana creates Lakshmi in a lotus flower and asks her to join him in doing the cosmic duty. At that time, another powerful bird is hunting the mother bird in the tree. Lakshmi sees the chicks struggling in the tree and begs Narayana to save it. Narayana remains silent. The powerful bird hunts the mother bird and leaves. Lakshmi angrily asks Narayana, “Why did you do this, Narayana?” This is the balance of the universe, these chicks are going to start a new life, he says. Lakshmi cannot bear Narayan’s statement. She leaves Narayan and goes away.
Narayan languishes in the emptiness of Lakshmi’s absence. Similarly, Lakshmi, who is alone, also languishes in the pain of separation. In this situation, Shiva comes to Narayan and advises him not to be separated from Lakshmi. Narayan also realizes the truth.
Then the demon Hayagriva says that he is now Narayan of all the worlds… Now Lakshmi is mine and sends his younger brother Ajina to kidnap Lakshmi. Before that, he uses two demons named Madhu Ketapa to cause trouble for Narayan and distract him and steal the Vedas from Brahmaloka. To help Brahma, Narayan leaves with the Vedas. So, with no other choice, he sends his ardent devotee Naganathan to save Lakshmi. Naganathan confronts and defeats Hayagrivan’s demon brother who is approaching Lakshmi. In a state of despair, the demon calls his brother Hayagrivan. Hayagrivan appears there and defeats Naganathan. Then he approaches Lakshmi. Lakshmi, trapped by the demon Hayagrivan, cries out to Narayan to save her. Did Narayan appear and save Lakshmi from the demon Hayagrivan…? Has Lakshmi’s predicament been resolved…?
