‘Sorgavasal’ movie trailer jointly released by director Lokesh Kanagaraj – music composer Anirudh

The trailer of ‘Sorgavasal’ movie starring director and leading actor R. J. Balaji in the lead role has been released. For this, leading star director Lokesh Kanagaraj and famous music composer Anirudh attended the event held at a star hotel in Chennai as special guests and released the trailer.

R. J. is the special guest in ‘Sorgavasal’ movie directed by debutant director Siddharth Viswanath. Balaji, director and actor Selvaraghavan, cinematographer and actor Natty aka Natraj, actress Saniya Ayyappan, Sharaf Udeen, Hakeem Shah, Balaji Sakthivel, Karunas, Ravi Raghavendra, Anthony Dasan, Samuel Robinson, writer Shobha Shakthi, Maurice and many others have played the lead roles. The film, which has cinematography by Prince Anderson, has music by Christo Xavier. This survival crime thriller film is jointly produced by Swipe Right Studios and Think Studios. Producers S. R. Prabhu and S. R. Prakash Babu are jointly distributing it worldwide on behalf of Dream Warrior Pictures.

The preview launch and press conference of the film, which will be released in theaters on the 29th, was attended by S. R. Prabhu, owner of Dream Warrior Pictures, which will release the film worldwide, Santhosh of Think Studios, the film’s hero R. J. Balaji, heroine Saniya Ayyappan, actor Hakeem Shah, director Siddharth Viswanath, cinematographer Prince Anderson, writers Tamil Prabha and Ashwin Ravichandran, and other members of the film crew.

Releasing the preview, director Lokesh Kanagaraj said, “Everyone who worked on this film is well known to me. First of all, my congratulations to the entire crew. The preview is very close to my heart. I had seen some scenes from the film six months ago. At that time, I mentioned that ‘an actor named RJ Balaji is making an appearance’. My congratulations also to Dream Warrior Pictures, which is releasing the film. Only after the release of this film will I know whether I need to make any changes in my film ‘Khaithi 2’ or not. Because the preview of the film was emotional and close to my heart,” he said.

Music composer Anirudh said, “Sidharth Rao and Pallavi Singh, the producers of Sorkkavasal, have been working with our team for eleven years. They have a great passion for making films. In that sense, Sorkkavasal is the first film of their Swipe Right Studios. Everyone who worked on this film is my close friend. Prince Anderson, who has done the cinematography, is an assistant to Sandho, the son of famous cinematographer Ravi K. Chandran in Mumbai. This is his debut film as a cinematographer. He has done a wonderful job. He has a great future, and I wish him all the best for that. Artist Vinay Sridhar, who has been doing the sound mixing responsibility for our team for ten years, has worked on this. Thanks also to Think Studios, which is associated with the production of this film. Dream Warrior Pictures, which is releasing the film, will present this film well all over the world with their experience. I also thank them for this. Director Sidharth Vishwanath is two years my junior in school. At that time, I did not know that he was interested in cinema. Then one day he met me and told me that he wanted to become a film director. After that, he joined a director as an assistant director, worked in three films and made the film ‘Sorgavasal’. After describing the story of this film in full, he asked me who would be good to play the lead. I immediately told him that my friend R. J. Balaji would be suitable for this. I watched this film and was happy that all my friends had come together to create a quality work. When I started my career as a music composer, R. J. Balaji was a famous presenter on the music radio. It would be a great honor for all of us to talk to him then. He started his artistic journey as an RJ and today he has risen as an actor. All the films he has acted in have been commercially successful. He works hard for the films he acts in. He has acted as a comedian, he has acted commercially, but in this film he has transformed into a wonderful actor. Selvaraghavan is a pillar of this film. He has beautifully crafted my artistic journey and musical journey.
Selvaraghaavan also has a significant role. I thank him for working with me in this film. I hope this film becomes a big success and opens the gates of heaven in everyone’s life,” he said.

Speaking, screenwriter-writer Tamil Prabha said, “The judge has woken up from his sleep…
The lawyer has gone for a walk…The policeman has put on his uniform…I have not yet started committing my crime…” A poem written by poet Francis Kripa comes to my mind at this moment. I see this poem as this film.
This film is very special to me. Because the first film I wrote, ‘Charbatta Paramparai’, had not been released. At that time, director P. Ranjith contacted me and said that my assistant Siddharth had a story. He asked me to work with him. After hearing that story, I felt very close to him.

My house is near the Chennai Central Jail. I have witnessed the riots in the prison when I was young. As soon as I heard about the film based on that riot, I became interested in writing the screenplay. I worked with Arun and Siddharth.

Writing a screenplay is a tiring task. But when I work with others, I can work quickly and energetically. There are many multifaceted characters in this story. Each character has its own uniqueness.

I always look at R. J. Balaji, who acted in this film, as a role model for me. Because he spoke in Chennai Tamil on Panpali Radio. That was my motivation. Due to this, I also worked as a presenter on Panpali Radio for two years.

Although I have been working in the film industry, I have never wanted to take a photo with any star. The only actor-creator I liked was Selvaraghavan. Because the character design in his films is different. In the film ‘Pudhupettai’, he designed the hero as a character who could bear the pain even if ten people beat him. This impressed me a lot. I contacted the director and expressed my desire to take a photo with Selvaraghavan. After that, a few days later, Selvaraghavan wanted to meet me. When I met him in person, he praised me for writing the screenplay neatly.

Also, writer Shobha Sakthi, who is an important figure in Tamil literature, has played a role in this film.

We are trying something new for this film. Although it is a crime action thriller story, I would like to mention that it is based on the survival thriller genre. I request everyone to watch, enjoy and support this film,” he said.

Speaking, screenwriter Ashwin Ravichandran said, “My friend Director Siddharth asked me if I could write a story that takes place in a prison. Since it was the Corona period, I agreed to write it. After that, we watched films about prisons, and read books written and published on it.

Thank you to the producers who helped us at this time. This film is set in North Chennai. Both I and Director Siddharth are from South Chennai. Therefore, we invited Tamil Prabha, a writer-storyteller from North Chennai, and worked with him. If all the scenes are alive now, looking at the preview of the film, it is because of Tamil Prabha’s hard work behind it. He is the one who brought the character of Parthi, the hero of the story, to life. For this, I thank him at this moment,” he said.

Director and actor Selvaraghavan said, “After reading the entire script, I asked the director if you wrote it yourself and who wrote it. I kept asking this until the shooting was completed. Because it is amazing whether it is possible to write such a script. It would be a bit of an exaggeration for me to say this at this moment, but after the film is released, you will agree that it is true. Writing such a script is not an ordinary thing, and I was a little jealous while reading it.

We talk a lot about making a good film. But no one tries for it. This film will definitely be different. I guarantee this. I am also looking forward to seeing this film in theatres with the fans.”

S. R. Prabhu, owner of Trim Warrior Pictures, said, “My first thanks to the producers for giving me the opportunity to release this film in theatres across the world. I have known the film since the beginning of its making. All the people who worked on it are close friends. A work that friends create together is different. Because when they create a work as friends, they don’t face any challenges. My best wishes to everyone who has acted in this film. We are also ready to work hard to make this film a success. This story is related to the incidents that many of us have heard and seen. The screenplay is written in a way that makes it easy to relate to that incident when watching the film. This film is set in the thriller genre that everyone enjoys in today’s environment. So I am sure that this film will be successful,” he said.

Actress Saniya Ayyappan said, “It is a pleasure to act with R. J. Balaji. I have never played such characters before. I thank the director and the producer for giving me this wonderful opportunity. The film will be released in theaters from the 29th, and I request everyone to go to the theater, watch it, enjoy it and support it,” he said.

Director Siddharth Viswanath said, “I would like to thank everyone at this moment for providing such a grand platform for a debutant director. Without talking much about the film, before talking about the actors, actresses and technicians who worked in it, I would like to thank everyone at this moment. More than ten leading stars worked in this film, including RJ Balaji- Selvaraghavan- Balaji Sakthivel- Karunas- Nutty-. They gave their full cooperation without any hesitation as a debut director.

An actor named Samuel Robinson came here from Nigeria and acted. Three stars from Kerala, namely Sharaf Udeen- Hakeem Shah- Saniya Ayyappan- worked in this film.

For this stage… Director Pa. Ranjith paved the way for me to come to the stage. I worked with him for six years. I learned a lot. For that, I would also like to thank him at this moment.

We planned to write the story of the film Sorkkavasal based on a true incident three years ago. We watched cult films like ‘Vada Chennai’ and ‘Virumandi’ that had been released before. After that, we decided to present this work from a different angle. For this, we went to the prison in Rajahmundry and spoke to the prisoners. At that moment, we saw a large number of people in prison. They are referred to as interrogators. We also got information that more than 70 percent of the prisons in India are interrogators. The court has not given any punishment to them yet. However, they are in prison. When we spoke to them, the only thing they had was hope. They are hopeful that one day this gate of heaven will open and they will be able to go home and live with their families. That theme has been included in this film. I hope it will easily connect with the audience. This film will be an emotional with action thriller. We have made this film for two hours and ten minutes. I am eagerly waiting to see how you, the fans, will receive this work. I request the media and the people to support this film,” he said.

Actor R. J. Balaji said, “Hello everyone. We have thanked everyone except the Prime Minister, President and Chief Minister. I have been with this team for one and a half years. Many debutants have worked in this film. Due to this, they all thanked those who helped them. When I was sitting down, I enjoyed listening to everyone who spoke on stage. Similarly, I have seen them enjoying and enjoying the film for the past one and a half years. Even now, four days before the release, I have not seen a film in which I have acted. The reason for that is the trust I have in them. I would like to thank director Siddharth at this moment for giving me the opportunity to act in this film.
He bought the performance from me. He had the entire screenplay in written form. Thanks to the writers Tamil Prabha – Ashwin Ravichandran and Siddharth who worked for this.

After the teaser of this film was released, many of my friends, who are heroes, called up and praised the director. I pray that he gets big opportunities after the preview of this film and the release of the film.

I used to make fun of his team on the sets. Because they always talk in English. Arun, who worked as an assistant director, has written a song in this film.

Cinematographer Prince Anderson and his team are also talented. I am happy to have worked with them. I have learned a lot from them. Among the films I have acted in, the photography in this film is the best.
There is a part. Cinematographer Prince does a great job easily and effortlessly. A great future awaits him.

I have worked with the film’s editor Selva in all the films like ‘LKG’, ‘Mookuthi Amman’, ‘Veetla Visheshanga’, ‘Singapore Saloon’. I am happy to be associated with him in this film. I also thank him at this moment. I hope he gets great recognition in this film. I pray to God that he gets a national award for this film.

I am a big fan of the writing of the writer Tamil Prabha. Saniya Ayyappan, who is acting opposite me in this film, has come to the promotional event of this film. She is also promoting the film well. She has given her special contribution in this film. I wish him success not only in Tamil but also in all languages like Telugu and Kannada.

Selvaraghavan looks like a big star actor on screen. He is always calm on the set. He also has few friends. He rarely speaks on the set. We had the feeling that a big star was in this film.

I would also like to thank everyone who acted in this film at this moment.

This film is special to me. Because Siddharth, who directed the film, used to stand behind me when I was playing cricket 15 years ago. I have acted in his direction.

I am grateful to Siddharth Rao, the producer of this film, for directing Suriya’s film. I am also grateful to him at this moment for being a part of his first film production.

Think Studios producer Swaroop. He had expressed his desire to work with me in a film since the release of LKG. He listened to the story of this film around 10 pm and agreed to work with me the next morning. For this, I would like to thank him at this moment.

This event has become very special for me. 13 years have passed since the release of ‘Theeya Velai Seyyennum Kumaru’. My wife Divya Nagarajan has come to this event. This is the first cinema event he is attending.

I have never been comfortable talking about the film Sorkkavasal. This film has done well. Everyone who has seen it is praising it. The teaser of this film was also well received. Now the preview of the film has been released. I am confident that this will also be well received.

Earlier, at the audio launch of a film, there was a need to talk about something to create controversy. But what I think now is that even if there is nothing to talk about, it is okay. If the content of the film is good, it will reach the people.

I have been saying this since 2006. If we take biscuits to a shop to sell, others will say no.
They will say no. The same is true of cinema. After reaching the audience, they will criticize a film.

After a film is released, anyone can criticize it in any way they want. They can criticize it on YouTube… they can criticize it on Twitter… they can criticize it on Instagram. That is their freedom. No one can take away their cell phones. So we have no control over criticism.

The content in the film Sorkkavasal is good. Dream Warrior Pictures is releasing this film for the sole reason that it is good to watch. These are the producers of my next film. The distributors of this film.

In a competitive environment, it will be difficult to sell digital rights called OTT. But I also thank Netflix, which has bought the rights of the film for a good amount. I also thank them for the trust they have placed in our team.

Nowadays, there is a lot of fear. If you are carrying a national flag outside and feel like an Indian, there is a fear that some criticism will be made for that.

I am not a skirt. I am not a skanky. I make a humble request to the IT wing of all political parties. You only watch politics. Leave cinema. Movies are released every week in the cinema. Why are you wasting your energy criticizing movies and destroying them.

Similarly, I would like to make a request to the fans, that is, Rajini fans, Kamal fans, Vijay fans, Ajith fans, all the fans should watch good movies. If you don’t like the movie, then criticize it. That is your right. But if they come to the movie
[11/24, 12:21] Gold: “Don’t work like you have to beat them and if they come to the film, you have to beat them. Don’t target and criticize. Don’t waste your energy on this.

We have made a good film. Only if everyone has support will this film be successful like a rubber ball or a banana film and reach all sections of the people. This film is releasing on the 29th. Newcomers have come together to create a work. I request everyone to visit the cinema hall, watch the film, enjoy it and support it,” he said.
