Years earlier, a film titled Yaanai Vaartha Vaanampadi Magan featuring C. L. Anandan had hit the screens which had an elephant in a pivotal role with a name, Raja Bheema.
Here is a flick that showcases the prowess of an elephant carrying the same name, Raja Bheema which is eventually the film’s title!
Tall order actor Aarav plays the lead as a man fascinated by elephants since his childhood. An elephant toy which was presented by his Mom was the foundation stone for his passion for elephants.
His Dad (Nasser) too shared his son ‘s passion for the gigantic animal. A chance encounter with a lone elephant initiates them to it bring home as years, hurry past!
Raja Bheema is more like a companion to the protagonist.
K. S. Ravikumar plays a two-timing politician whose son (Yogi Babu, not so impressive, here!) is a spoiled brat.
Prabhakar is the customary baddie who runs a poaching racket.
Raja Bhima is kidnapped by his team with support from the staff at the Forest Department for sacrificial purposes.
How Aarav stages the rescue is the rest narrated in a typical cinematic fashion.
Simon K. King’s music warrants kudos.
The animal trainer too deserves mention.
