We have come across films that showcase fantasy elements in a believable manner which enjoys the privilege of being patronized both critically and commercially more so for its technical brilliance.
Here is a film set in a rural backdrop that talks about a corpse that refuses to leave the household and move on to the burial ground as the reasoning behind her death is flawed, thereby hiding the truth. Further, as the screenplay unfolds, many interpretations spring up complicating the issue.
A twist in the pre-climax throws in a punch which eventually exposes the real reason and cause behind the death of the girl in question following which the post – death rituals follow.
The lead cast is quite natural in its presence and performance. Geetha Kailasam appears to go overboard in her outburst at the end.
Sujith Sarang has captured the rural setting quite well. Jecin George ‘s background score is upbeat.
Truly a different kind of feature film that packs a punch! The concept of defying death is something that we all have come across in films. But this one is more like a ghost of a deceased that refuses to move on till justice is served!
