A novel theme of a human being showcasing humane qualities towards another human being, a sumo wrestler, hailing from another country who is washed ashore owing to the handiwork of some rivals!
Shiva is a sea surfer who is employed in a surfing company run by VTV Ganesh.
The wrestler in question who is lying unconscious along the beach side is rescued and treated by Shiva, purely on humanitarian grounds.
His lover’s (Priya Anand) dad (Nizhalgal Ravi), a Tamil passionate person doesn’t exactly prefer Shiva to be his son in law!
Meanwhile, Shiva names the Japanese wrestler as Ganesh who is being subject to a lot of body shaming from all those in the neighborhood.
Interestingly, he even triumphs in an idli eating competition effortlessly winning over the other contestants!
Time comes when Ganesh has to go back to his motherland!
Shiva runs from pillar to post to mobilize money to end Ganesh back.
After some tiring efforts, Shiva, VTV Ganesh and ‘Ganesh’ fly to Japan and not before long, ‘Ganesh’ takes part and wins a Sumo wrestling competition, of course, on expected lines!
Yogi Babu and Sathish do not have much of a scope in the proceedings.
It is but a fact that the film bears a dated look!
The one liners of Shiva do not exactly work here, the antics of VTV Ganesh, included!
Otherwise, the film is neat and clean without any hiccups, following a linear pattern.
Tashiro is impressive.
