The film ‘Vembu’ is produced by Golden Suresh and S. Vijayalakshmi under the banner of Manjal Cinemas.
Directed by debutant director V. Justin Prabhu, the film stars Harikrishnan, who acted in the films Madras (Johnny), Thangalan, and Kabali, as the male lead, and Sheela, who acted in the films Doolette and Mandela, as the female lead.
Marimuthu, Jayarao, Pariyerum Perumal, Karnan, and Janaki, who acted in the films Vazai, play important roles.
A. Kumaran, who did the cinematography for the film Thangamagan starring Dhanush, has done the cinematography for the film, Manikandan Murali, who composed the music for the film Raphael starring Adho Mugham, GV. Prakash, has composed the music for the film, and KJ, who edited the film Mridhan. Venkatramanan has edited the film, and Ramji Soma, who has worked in leading films like Thaduvu and Valimai, has mixed the sound for the film.
The film moves with events about a woman protecting herself, along with the right man who stands as a fortress.
Those who do not protect themselves in the crimes that occur in society become victims of violence. Living among the villains is not an ordinary thing. The strength to live beyond that is an important requirement. ‘Vembu’ has emerged as a film that looks at this from a different perspective and speaks.
The film, which presented a strong social idea, has recently participated in the Ahmedabad International Film Festival and competed for an award.
It is very gratifying that the Best Actress award was given to Sheela and the Best Actor award to Harikrishnan.

Accordingly, Vembu, which was screened in Ahmedabad, has given us two sweet awards.
I am very happy that hero Hari and heroine Sheela have received awards.
These awards have given us confidence. We are planning to release it in May with the hope that people will watch Vembu in the theatres and make it a success.
