Veteran actor Prabhu Ganesan steals the show in this flick that has been conceived and crafted as a wholesome entertainer!
Vetri too creates a flutter by his performance excelling both in the action as well as in the dance sequences. He romances reasonably well too.
Newcomer Komal Kumar makes his presence felt as the villain of the piece but should have been shown smoking all the time he makes an appearance?
The film the screenplay of which has been set against a rural backdrop is about a father and son -Chellaiya (Prabhu Ganesan) and Pattamuthu (Vetri) both of whom appearing to be living for the sake of each other.
What starts off as a clash, blossoms into love between Patta Muthu and Poochendu (Krishnapriya).
Linga (Komal Kumar) is a local bigwig who is involved in a fraudulent activity.
He helps people to convert black money into white by exploiting the innocent villagers who fall a prey to his evil designs unmindful of his hidden agendas!
He has a team of people working under him who would stop at nothing while working for him!
Patta Muthu too falls into that trap and at one point, Chellaiya enters the scene to rescue his son.
But things take an unexpected turn, thereafter!
How things get sorted out is the rest narrated in a conventional manner.
Thangadurai’s toilet humor doesn’t really help much. But the comedy track reminds us of Vadivelu’s characterization in Cheran’s Vetri Kodi Kattu (2000).
The film follows a steady pace without a dull moment. The songs deserve mention.
