Middleclass themes seem to have become the staple diet of film buffs in the contemporary times, it looks like!
Here is one more but certainly a worthwhile film that paints a realistic picture of middle class aspirations and the efforts put forth by them to reach the goal post!
Sarath Kumar heads a middle class family consisting of his wife (Devyani), son (Siddharth) and daughter (Meetha Raghunath).
Their collective goal is to own a house property and move in to lead a good life.
But the challenges they face and the hurdles they need to overcome forms the format of the narration narrated with nicety by Sri Ganesh whose 8 Thottakkal was a discerning flick.
Sarath Kumar has donned a meaty role and has come up with a matured performance.
Devyani fills the bill adequately as his better half.
Siddharth plays their duty bound son while Meetha Raghunath plays the daughter.
On three occasions, the family misses reaching the goal post (Sid’s education, Sarath ‘s health and Meetha’s marriage).
Time hurries past while their dream gets fulfilled and the proceedings draw to a happy healthy.
Amrit Ramnath’s music deserves kudos.
A heart touching family drama, this is!
